I recently purchased a new vehicle from Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Princeton, and unfortunately my experience after the sale has been extremely frustrating. I traded in my Honda Accord on February 26, 2026, and the dealership agreed to pay off my existing loan with Honda Financial Services as part of the transaction. It has now been nearly a month, and the payoff has still not been completed. My loan remains active, and I am now at risk for additional interest and potential credit impact. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this directly with the dealership — including phone calls, messages to my salesperson, and even visiting in person — but I have received no clear answers or proof that the payoff has been processed. This is a basic responsibility of any dealership, and the lack of follow-through and communication has been very disappointing. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be filing formal complaints with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. I hope the dealership takes this seriously and resolves the issue quickly. More

UPDATE :As of February 2, 2026, the check engine light is back on and the Jeep is struggling to drive, extremely weak, and unsafe to operate. This strongly indicates engine damage, directly contradicting what the dealership claimed. These issues did not exist prior to the January 9 service. This situation points to gross negligence and misrepresentation. I brought my son’s Jeep to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Princeton, Princeton, NJ , on January 9 for a simple oil change and 4-wheel alignment. Immediately after the service, the Jeep was misfiring and leaking oil, emitted smoke from under the hood, and smelled like burning rubber. I called the dealership to report this, and they suggested I drive it back… which was unsafe. I had the Jeep towed back to the dealership, and the tow truck driver looked under it and said: “I have no idea what these guys did to this Jeep, the whole underside is covered in oil.” The Jeep remained at the dealership from January 9 to January 20, during which I repeatedly requested written confirmation or a guarantee that the service performed would not cause future damage to the engine or internal parts. The Group Service and Parts Director there, refused to provide this guarantee, which is a huge red flag. What should have been a routine maintenance visit turned into a complete disaster. The lack of accountability, transparency, and basic professionalism is alarming. I was a customer years ago when this dealership was owned by the Baker family, and my experience back then was great. The dealership was sold in 2021, and the difference since then is night and day. More
I visited Princeton Jeep on November 26th to look at a used Jeep Grand Cherokee I saw advertised online. My experience was frustrating and disappointing. I purchased the vehicle from Larry (sales) on Dece used Jeep Grand Cherokee I saw advertised online. My experience was frustrating and disappointing. I purchased the vehicle from Larry (sales) on December 5th. I provided a payoff amount for my current vehicle, which was valid for 10 days. I followed up with Ron (management) on December 22nd, and he assured me that the payoff was processed. He said that due to the holidays, the payoff would post on my account by Friday or early next week. I went to the dealership in person on January 3rd and spoke to Richard (finance), who once again assured me that they were working on it and that they would follow up with me the following week. No one followed up with me after they said that they would. Now I owe car payments for my previous loan and my new Jeep, which has put me in a bad financial position. I do not recommend this dealership due to their lack of transparency and poor communication practices. More
Traded in my 2021 f150 on Oct 25, 2025 for a used f250 they had on the lot. 11/26 I’m told the payoff is in processing and my trade in has been sold to a new customer. 12/10 I’m told the payoff would be they had on the lot. 11/26 I’m told the payoff is in processing and my trade in has been sold to a new customer. 12/10 I’m told the payoff would be paid on 12/11 and I would receive the receipt. 12/16 I’m told the controller isn’t responding to my salesman’s emails. 12/23 the loan is still not paid off by the dealership and they have stopped responding to my emails. I would avoid this dealership at all costs, as soon as you are out the door they have no sense of urgency. I’m not legally responsible for the payments on 2 vehicles. I am now starting the legal process of contacting New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, New Jersey Attorney Generals office, New Jersey division of Consumer affairs, and my attorney to get this matter settled.
