Brought truck in for “I/c coolant level low”. They Brought truck in for “I/c coolant level low”. They charged me $4200, went to pick up truck all of a sudden had check engine light, told them, they “ Brought truck in for “I/c coolant level low”. They charged me $4200, went to pick up truck all of a sudden had check engine light, told them, they “diagnose” the truck for 2 weeks and tell me it needs a new turbo!! They tell me it’s back ordered, and nobody has one in stock, even tho a dealer 2 hours away had a turbo in stock. The service manager talks down to u, very disrespectful, when asked to speak to someone in customer service, he said there’s nobody! When asked to speak to the owner, he stated, “the owner doesn’t speak to any customers!!!” After having it there for a month, I pulled it out with a tow truck because all of a sudden it wasn’t drivable. Take it to another dealer and they tell me the coolant level sensor is physically broken. If that’s the case and that’s why I brought it there in the first place, what happened to the $4200????? Frustrated beyond belief!!!Constantino is disrespectful, and the manager Baglione does nothing to help, it’s all about the money for these guys. I should’ve never been here, wish I read the reviews and the comments on the Better business Bureau!! Stay away!!!!!!!! These guys are useless crooks, and don’t bother complaining when the service manager is married into the family. Good luck More

My daughter bought a car from this dealer and though the salesman was personable, he was very quick with his lies to justify the ridiculous fees they charge. We were able to get rid of most of those fees, a salesman was personable, he was very quick with his lies to justify the ridiculous fees they charge. We were able to get rid of most of those fees, and struck a decent deal. But after paying in cash, and paying them to register and title the car, it’s been nothing but headaches. They gave her the plates and registration but not the title. And they didn’t refund her the $106 they overcharged her for registration fees which, by law, they owe her. She tried contacting the salesman and he hasn’t called her. I called the sales manager and he made up a story that DMV will mail the title and refund which I have NEVER experienced by any car I purchased and those of other people I’ve talked to. My next step is reporting them to NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs. More
Not even 1 month ago purchased a Certified Pre Owned Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership. Below are SOME of the issues I have encountered since: SEXIST OCCURRENCES: - Jerome Drackett, sat down to Grand Cherokee from this dealership. Below are SOME of the issues I have encountered since: SEXIST OCCURRENCES: - Jerome Drackett, sat down to discuss my warranty options. Instead of speaking to me, he ONLY addressed my boyfriend. I said to Jerome, “I am buying the car, not him. Please tell me the info.” It was as if I didn’t even say anything because he continued to ONLY address my BF. - I was told I needed to put $ down on the car to have them hold it until Tuesday. After giving Jerome my CC, he handed the receipt to my BF. I said again to him “I AM BUYING THE CAR.” - I had asked Jerome some questions about the car & he said he was going to give me a call with answers. HOWEVER, instead of calling me, he called my BF. My BF told him that he was not buying the car & he should call me. Instead, Jerome never called. When I mentioned it to him, he flat-out lied to my face & said he left me a voicemail (which he did not!) & tried to blame George (only professional there). *This dealership must be stuck in the 1800s because they do not seem to understand that WOMEN are capable of buying cars.* BUYING THE CAR I had a check for the full amount of the car. They were quick to take my $ however once they did…It was as if I did not exist. I waited for over 4 HOURS. Mind you, the dealership was empty (8pm on a Tues.) Jerome was busy talking to his friends. Once I signed the last of the paperwork, I was told that they did not have their key guy make the 2nd key, & I would need to come back. (I live 1hr away). When I signed the initial paperwork the week before, it stated that there would be 2 keys….they knew I was coming & this should have been done in advance. Once I finally got the key, I got in the car to drive home. About 1 mile down the road from the dealership, my car's tire sensors went off saying that 3 of the tires were extremely low on air. I had to stop at a gas station & fill my car’s tires up with air. They failed to check thisin advance- MASSIVE safety concern. The tires needed over 10 units of air!!! About 30 mins into my drive home, the battery on the ONLY key they gave me DIED. I needed to stop to get a battery because they failed to put a new $2 battery in. 2 WEEKS INTO OWNING THE CAR The radio stopped working. The screen was just a blue square, it would freeze throughout my drive or continuously restart. I was unable to actually utilize many features of my new car. I took the car in & told service the litany of issues (at this point I had the car for under 3 weeks). I called ahead to make sure the key guy would be in (they told me he would be) & it turned out he wasn’t & they had to call him to come in. I waited for over 6 hrs for nothing to be fixed. They told me the radio is broken (DUH!) & it needed to be replaced & they didn’t have the parts so I would need to wait 10 days. Upon returning the car, my car had chips in the paint, my back seats were severely scratched & there were pieces of tape all over. Basically returned my 3-week old car to me dirty & damaged. It's been 6 days since they checked it & now my car's “start-stop feature” doesn't work. It says “battery charging” or “engine too cold” this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. In addition to all of these issues, the Sirius XM trial I am not able to experience due to my broken radio. Upon telling the head of the dealership Jay Murali this, his response was “when we put the new radio in, you can call Sirius XM & pay for 3 months, & then we will reimburse you” um…what!!! BUY YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE. WHEN YOU ARE PAYING FOR ANYTHING WORTH THAT MUCH MONEY YOU SHOULD BE MET WITH RESPECT & PROFESSIONALISM - WHICH THIS DEALERSHIP DOES NOT HAVE. YOU SHOULD ALSO BE BUYING A CAR THAT HAS BEEN PROPERLY CHECKED & DOESN’T POSE SAFETY CONCERNS THE MIN YOU LEAVE THE LOT. IF you have to buy from here, ONLY work with George. More
Unprofessional and dishonest. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Very disappointed in their dishonest service. They lie about services being done when it was not conducted. I've called on Thursday to Constantine and Jay disappointed in their dishonest service. They lie about services being done when it was not conducted. I've called on Thursday to Constantine and Jay but no one calls back. When email was addressed to their Corporate Director David Porter of Route4cars, he calls Saturday afternoon to investigate and call back Monday. On Monday night, I get an email response which made me call FCA Customer Service and file a complaint. The advisors Dominick and Kevin both have evidently lied to David and his email response was "no work was authorized, no work was performed and you were charged nothing." Who would wait for over 6 hours to take a look at noise concerns and requested oil change and then refuse?? The technician even put a oil change sticker for next oil change date/miles but oil change was not performed. The common courtesy to call back was ignored. They did not even bother with a return call when requested. As for the noise, tires with 10/32 in tread were blamed. Kevin says I can call Fidelity Warranty (for tires/wheels) myself and file a claim. Provided no help what so ever. As for the oil change, I was told it's on us since we had you waiting for so long. As for the brake pads supposedly replaced on 3/2021 from CDFR Englewood Cliffs, it still squeaking, when requested to replace the brake pads, they simply said noise could not be replicated... and pads were not changed. The squeaking noise was heard as soon as I left their parking lot and stopped at the stop sign. It's a shame that advisor Dominick who is mentioned for terrible reviews multiple times gets away with lying and unprofessionalism. Don't waste your time here. Take your business elsewhere. More
These people robbed $1,800 from me last year in June 2020 during the height of the pandemic when I happened to suffer a total lack of work due to Covid 19. They ordered a mirror face-plate for me for my 2019 during the height of the pandemic when I happened to suffer a total lack of work due to Covid 19. They ordered a mirror face-plate for me for my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited passenger side assembly. It was actually on my birthday I believe June 7, 2020. I woke up and was heading upstate NY to go for a long bike ride in the mountains. When I got in my car, I noticed that the mirror was missing from my Jeep (passenger side.) Apparently people will slide a knife or razor behind the mirror and steal it and resell them. The assembly was fine, just the mirror was gone. Wanting to be a good citizen and get this handled immediately and not have my birthday ruined by this I stopped at the first dealership across the George Washington Bridge which happened to be Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs. The guys took a look at the Jeep and gave me a price of $1,800 to replace the missing mirror. I knew in my head that this was a lot of money and felt like a ripoff. I also was aware that most business' had been shut down for months and were just starting to reopen at that time due to the pandemic and lockdowns. But wanting to just put it behind me and get it taken care of ASAP I gave them my AMEX and let them order the part which was going to take a couple of weeks then would be called and scheduled for an appointment to have it installed. 3-4 hours later after my bike ride it wasn't feeling right with me and I made a phone call to one of my childhood friends who owns a body shop in Staten Island, NY named Leonardo's Auto Body.I should've skipped JEEP of Englewood and went to him first I just wasn't thinkinG at the time. he did advise me that yes I was in fact being ripped off and said he would take care of it for me for $400. I immediately called AMEX and cancelled the charge and called Jeep of Englewood Cliffs and left a message on the machine letting them know I no longer needed the part or installation and that I had cancelled the charge with my credit card company. The following week my friend did the repair at his body shop. Im thinking everything is done and moved on with my life. Long story short weeks later I noticed the charge was back on my account with my credit card company. Me being FURIOUS as one could imagine started the dispute process. I submitted multiple forms of evidence including a receipt for the repair from Leonardo's, a written statement from the owner, and several time stamped photos. The charge was investigated by AMEX, taken off and put back on. this happened several times over the course of the next few months because the general manager of Englewood Cliffs kept on lying through his teeth and fighting it, went on a written record, lied some more and said they had done the work on my Jeep. the general manager is a lying xxxxxxx. I never even left the car there, they never even touched my Jeep but for some reason decided they were going to fight the dispute and ended up stealing $1800 from me which I ended up having to pay to AMEX and not even having my car touched once by these crooks. whatever you do, stay far away from these lying stealing xxxxxxxx. Zero Stars would be too high for this place (or at least it’s Service Department). As you can see from their numerous other 1-star reviews, they are a stereotypical dealer service department that saw a you it’s Service Department). As you can see from their numerous other 1-star reviews, they are a stereotypical dealer service department that saw a young woman who obviously knew nothing about cars, decided she was a perfect “mark,” and ripped her off with an almost $4,000 (!) service bill. My daughter brought is our 2006 Jeep Commander with about 60,500 miles on it because the service light was on and the low air light was on. She was confused about which lights were on (she thought the check engine light was on) and told the service adviser, Kevin, she didn’t know what a check engine light looked like. Once it was established my daughter didn’t know much about cars and seemed inexperienced at dealing with a service department, this place went to town. 50,000 mile service, Brake pads and rotors, flush brake lines, front and rear differential fluid, transfer case service, emission system service, alignment …. $200 after $200 unit services covering two pages. All for a car that was running fine, but needed an oil change. But Kevin saw an opportunity and took advantage of a young inexperienced woman, told her all these items were necessary, and hit us up for $3,809 (after the $125 coupon Kevin applied — what a guy). Kevin at some point told me that these service items were necessary because my Jeep seemed like it had never been serviced. Since it was purchased, this vehicle has been serviced only at authorized Jeep dealers. It doesn’t get serviced a lot because it is driven under 4,000 miles per year. But Kevin was able to look up the service history. Note that the brakes they said needed to be replaced had been resurfaced not long ago. Kevin tried to say my daughter seemed knowledgeable about her car, until she reminded him that she told him she didn’t know what a check-engine light was. Taking advantage of someone and hitting them with a $3,800 repair bill for a car that KBB says has a trade-in value of $2,700 and $3,200 and a private value between $3,900 and $6,700 without discussing whether the service items make sense given the age and value of the car is almost criminal. For what it is worth, in justifying why he thought the $3,800 bill made sense, Kevin told me that my Commander really is worth $9,000 - $10,0000 (which of course still would not warrant the $3,800 spend on unnecessary repair items). So, if the sales people at Englewood Cliffs Jeep are watching, based on Kevin’s representation of my Commander’s value, I am happy to sell you my Commander for $10k right now. Just say the word and I will be right over with the title and the keys. I cannot warn you off this place enough. They are just not trustworthy and clearly believe they can take advantage of people (like my daughter) who seem inexperienced in dealing with his type of dealership. I thought the days of car dealers acting like they are con-artists; taking advantage of women and ripping off customers, were over, but I guess the “good old days” live on at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs. Run, don’t walk, from this place. Even just driving by, I would make sure you still have your wallet. More
If I could of give this place zero stars I would have. I should have read the reviews about services before I brought my jeep in. The oil change light was blinking in my car so I made the appointment. The m should have read the reviews about services before I brought my jeep in. The oil change light was blinking in my car so I made the appointment. The morning of the appointment I was sent a link to check in which I did. It stated oil change and I would have to pay $13.19. They also offered another service which stated $0.00. I figured this was accurate as it was my first time bringing in the car for an oil change since I got it October 2020. When I brought the truck in my miles were under 5000. I was told I have to get it fully serviced and that it would cost $515. I was beyond shocked because I did not come to have it service just the oil change. I was told that if I didn't get the truck serviced when it's due then if anything happened to the truck the claim could be denied. After speaking with my brother he said that's what they do a it's very dishonest. This is a new jeep that I only drive to run errands. I was told it's the 7500k service, I said sir I have not reached that amount it's still under 5000. NO ONE could of given me a reasonable answer as to why the bill was that amount. They said they had to rotate tires, check engine and all these things that I did not set the appointment for. My brother has a jeep as well from a different dealer in NJ and did not have to pay anything when he took his car in the 1st time. I literally called over `10 people who said that they basically was taking me for a ride to get money. But by the time I started to question it more the guy said " it's too late they already finish" I said already it's not even an hour yet it's $500 bill he then said it's about another 15 min. I am highly disgusted and annoyed with this dealership and I won't be returning anymore. It's highly dishonest to charge a person all these things when all they asked for was an oil change and to make matters worse when I checked in the price I was told i needed to pay was not over $500! Telling someone there claim won't be approved if something was to happen to it because the jeep is not fully serviced is also dishonest and disgusting! I am now working with the leasing company and a lawyer to get rid of my contract and work with another jeep dealership! I would much rather buy out my contract and give the car back because I do not plan on ever working with them anymore! More
Extremely disappointed with the manager Tim Sweeny and the way he treated a returning customer of his. We agreed upon a lease price and he happily took my deposit and ran a hard credit check (MISTAKE #1)… the way he treated a returning customer of his. We agreed upon a lease price and he happily took my deposit and ran a hard credit check (MISTAKE #1)…which I felt comfortable doing being that I went this route with him 6 months ago and it went smoothly. He told me he’d have to get it from another dealer and it’d take about a week to get. A week goes by and I reach out to him and low and behold he wasn’t able to “swap” a vehicle and therefore was unable to get the agreed upon vehicle. He then tells me that I can go purchase the vehicle at another dealership that has the vehicle and “they should honor the price I gave you.” Ha, yeah ok…tried that already at the recommended dealer and the price wasn’t even close…and now all of a sudden, another dealer will honor HIS price!? His second option was to give him some more time, more money and he “should” be able to get a slightly more expensive vehicle because the dealership he “works with” has 3 of them.. I chose this option (MISTAKE #2) because he now has my time, money and credit check. A week goes by…no word from Tim and now he’s no longer responding to my text messages, which clearly was a sign he couldn’t get the vehicle. After two days of texting he finally replies that the dealership won’t give him the vehicle (again) and he’ll refund the deposit but he can’t help me! Sooooo now that he took 3 weeks of my time, a security deposit (that I’m still waiting for), and a hard credit check, he can no longer help?! My current Jeep lease expires in 6 days (which Tim knew from the beginning) and now I’m stuck rushing last minute for another…but more importantly another credit check ran so soon by another dealer will seriously affect my score. I’m so disappointed with Tim and the way he just stopped responding to my texts and just gave up on helping me. Being that inventory is low now in all dealerships, Tim (and I’m sure his staff) will promise a vehicle, ask for your money and then just give up on you if they can’t “swap” for it. Although Tim was a nice, easy to talk to and down to earth guy I’ve done business with in the past, he will screw you just like any other dealer out there…and I’m proof of that. More
