Poor Customer Service My husband and I have received terrible customer service from Chico VW. After a horrible fuel leak in December with our 2015 VWGolf, we called to have our car towed in to be looked at. We were told to go elsewhere as they didn't want to look at our car, even though we have evidence that they are the only ones who have taken the back seat off our car to replace the fuel pump, which had a recall. They said it had been too long for a problem to have occurred. The Service Manager would not help us, because he thought someone else could have "done something" to our car. Not only did this issue happen, but previous rude comments during times of trying to figure out coolant leaks, and shift by wire module replacement, we were told we most likely spilled coffee on the shift area or didn't understand the coolant system. My husband is a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic and we take care of our vehicles. I could not recommend this Dealership as their Service Center is rude and unethical. More
Horrible service full of lies. First off let me say that the salesman we bought our 2017 Jetta from was a wonderful man. We spoke to the sales manager also and was please with him a First off let me say that the salesman we bought our 2017 Jetta from was a wonderful man. We spoke to the sales manager also and was please with him as well. They both understood my hesitation to trust a "Car Salesman" and provided me with respect and listened to my concerns. Them two did a wonderful job, however, that is where our good experience had ended. The lady we spoke with afterward was Amy. Its amazing how we would remember the name of the person who did us wrong but the men who did us right we cannot. We purchased the Zurich Shield with our vehicle, Amy told us that if anything was to happen to the interior of the vehicle that the Zurich coverage would take care of repairing it free. I even verified that even if we caused the damage anything in the interior would be taken care of, she confirmed again. There were other things said but I will not go into those. First off we were unaware that we were going to have to bring the car back down to Chico from Redding to get this Zurich stuff applied to our car. Instead of applying this before we drove all the way home they wanted us to bring the car back down to Chico and be without our new car in a town that we didn't want to be in. They offered no reimbursement for fuel. My wife put a scratch on the steering wheel leather, once I requested this to be taken care of the Warranty Administrator Shelley wouldn't talk to me about it and said she would refer this to Amy. I tried to explain that this was part of the interior and should be covered. I asked that the dealership manager contact me and I received no contact from them. They seemed offended when I wanted to conduct our conversations through Email, I told them I wanted documentation of any further lies that they may tell me. Shelley was very short and acted as if I was bothering her. I was indeed upset at this moment because I was already realizing I was misled, she lied. I did not receive any response so I told Shelley that I was going to refuse the Zurich and would be requesting a refund of the $600+ that I had paid. At that point Amy sent me a very short message telling me that the refund has been issued and would be applied to my loan amount. I thought this was very unprofessional of her and it was a sign that she was ashamed that she was called out on her lies. This dealership is the worst. Do your research. We are not the only people displeased with them. I would highly suggest driving that extra time to a different dealer, I would also suggest you DO NOT take your car to them for service as they may lie to you about what it needs. Good luck. Sales Manager was a xxxxx I've visited this dealership in service for my Jetta from time to time so today I decided to go in and talk about upgrading to a new one. Very helpful and courteous but the sales Manager sitting right in the sales office first one to the left was a xxxxx. I don't even want to get into what happened but trust me you would never go there if you saw how bad this xxxxxx treats people. I would suggest driving as far as you can to NOT buy a car from a dealership that lets his sales Manager treat people so rude. More
