George Bowie (general sales manager) is great -- extremely friendly and helpful. Alan Faulk was also excellent. The purchasing experience was a good one. John Sullivan, the senior sales person whom I dealt with, was very straightforward and knowledgeable. We made an extra trip to the dealer to test drive the exact vehicle that we were purchasing-- it turned out that they didn't have the vehicle in stock, and the sales people that we dealt with (John Sullivan was not there) could not answer most of our questions. They pulled out the wrong vehicle for us to test drive and they did not know the specific answers to our questions about the features and options included for the car in which we were interested. Since we had spoken to John on the phone, he was able to answer all of our questions, but the extra trip was not necessary. The only other "bad" thing about the experience is that this new dealership keeps their cars in a lot about 5 blocks away - it takes 15-20 minutes just to get a vehicle out, and if they get the wrong one out (which happened to us), then you have to wait a half hour for them to do it again. That said, we got a good price on our vehicle and got all of the features that we wanted. It just took a bit longer than necessary and included an extra trip to the dealer. More

I was very stressed out about buying a car, b/c historically it has been a stressful experience. Most importantly, they did not try to convince me to buy something I didn't want, or say they couldn't find what I wanted so I would buy from their inventory. They stayed until at least 10pm to finish my paperwork to make sure I could take advantage of Cash for Clunkers. They even took the ski rack off my trade b/c I didn't have the right tool. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience, and would recommend Chevy Chase Nissan to anybody. More
