New Equinox Lease Salesman at Smithtown Chevrolet (Mitch) was helpful, knowledgeable and advised me about a "deal" going on at Costco if I was to take advantage of the Salesman at Smithtown Chevrolet (Mitch) was helpful, knowledgeable and advised me about a "deal" going on at Costco if I was to take advantage of the lease in November. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE My wife and I went to go price out a Chevrolet Tahoe at Smithtown Chevrolet. We walked inside and were ignored by everyone until we walked up to the s My wife and I went to go price out a Chevrolet Tahoe at Smithtown Chevrolet. We walked inside and were ignored by everyone until we walked up to the sales podium to ask for assistance. We were greeted by a sales person who mumbled his name to us to where we couldn’t understand him (but later found out it was Andrew after looking at their website). We explained what we were looking for, went for a quick walk around to see what was on the lot and then asked for a quote on how much a lease on a Tahoe would be. In response, we got “You guys aren’t going to buy a car today, why should I waste my time pricing you out?”. Before we let him continue, we turned around and walked away. The manager Bill saw me walking away as I gave him a shrug (because I couldn’t believe how we were just treated) but decided to let us keep walking and not act on trying to save a customer. TERRIBLE experience... would NEVER recommend anyone to this place. I’m in the service side of the car business (which I told him so you would think there would be some level of respect)) and I would never treat a customer this way. Very disgusted with this experience... More
