Very disappointed After not being able to reach anyone in the Service department Sat. morning for over 30 min. (between 9:15 & 9:45) , I just drove back from Indiana to After not being able to reach anyone in the Service department Sat. morning for over 30 min. (between 9:15 & 9:45) , I just drove back from Indiana to Homewood. I spoke to Earl, Mike, and then Derek about the indicator light on my dash that would not go off. I asked to leave my car for service, which they probably could not fix until Monday. I asked for a Loaner car because I had to be someplace by 3pm. I have a 2016 Malibu, which I have had for 1 year. They told me they could not give me a loaner until the technician checked it to see if it was under warranty. After waiting 2 hours, they finally told me I could get a loaner. By the time I got to the event, I had missed it, and was out $50. plus hours of waisted time and gas money. I had been a loyal customer there for 14 years, taking my 94 Corvette for service and buying my 2005 Malibu and getting it serviced there for 9 years.I will never buy, lease, or get another car from there again. I will never recommend my friends, family, or coworkers there either. More
Typical slimy sales people and poor service Jim was very nice at check in, and Nate was extremely helpful in driving me down the straight as a courtesy while my car was being serviced. However, I was supposed to have my tires rotated and was told that they WERE rotated but they were not. I know this because of the TPMS sensors as well as that I have a leak in one of the tires and the leak is still in the same location as it was when I came in for service. This is in addition to the deception of one of their sales people, Aaron, a few months ago when him and I were talking deals and trade ins. It too bad when a used car salesman lives up to their stereotype. More

Engine gone bad I own a 2013 chevy equinox. Homewood is not my original place of purchase,however, since my date of purchase in 2013 I've been getting my oil changed I own a 2013 chevy equinox. Homewood is not my original place of purchase,however, since my date of purchase in 2013 I've been getting my oil changed by the Homewood Dealership. I learned the days ago that my engine went out. Phillips chevy said that it was due to bad oil /non maintenance of oil. I went to Phillips to take a look at the engine and it was covered with a thick black mud - like substance. The service guy said that was burnt oil buildup. I retrieved all of my on time oil change receipts for the past three years! Long story short. ...Homewood had not been changing my oil properly and/or using bad oil. Got the engine replace under manufacturer warranty. I also called to cancel my extended warranty with Homewood and the finance guy was rude and annoyed. Did not listen. ... More
Pure xxxx to deal with I received 2 "recall" notices from Chevy for my car. They recommended that I contact Chevrolet of Homewood, so that's who I went with. From the very b I received 2 "recall" notices from Chevy for my car. They recommended that I contact Chevrolet of Homewood, so that's who I went with. From the very beginning, they were rude. They acted annoyed that I would want to bring my car in for a recall - even though the recall is due to Chevy making faulty parts! I scheduled to bring my car in but they refused to give an approximate time that it would be ready. Having only the one car, I asked them for a loaner vehicle so that I could get to work. They flat-out refused, saying "Because you did not buy your car from us, you will not get a loaner." So in other words, even if Chevy screws up and gives me a car with faulty parts, Chevrolet of Homewood wants nothing to do with fixing THEIR COMPANY'S MISTAKE! What an abysmal dealership. Avoid them like the plague! More

I bought (paid for) extra protection for the paint on my 2015 Equinox, against natural hazard, dints from shopping carts, dings, tree sap, acts of nat I bought (paid for) extra protection for the paint on my 2015 Equinox, against natural hazard, dints from shopping carts, dings, tree sap, acts of nature etc. Made an appointment as required to have scratches and sap removed. Upon arrival service personnel were not aware of any such coverage. Told me there was no such coverage for paint. Told me to take car to car wash or they dont clean off sap. I then talked with sales person who told the service department I have paint protection so the repairs were covered under my policy however I got a call after I left the dealership to say I have to pay because they have to repaint my back bumper. I am so disappointed in the service and service personnel with their lack of knowledge on service of their products. My family bought 3 (Malibu, Impala (paid cash) & Equinox) 2015 vehicles in December 2014 but you can be assured if this is the type of service Chevrolet promotes we will not buy another Chevy product. I want my vehicle serviced without any additional cost to me as I was advised when I purchased this extra protection these type of repairs were covered. More
Great Experience I usually go in to take my little Spark for oil changes and I usually get to deal with Mike Davis. Recently, I had a check engine light come and scheduled an appointment on-line. When I got to the store, they didn't have my appointment on their books and couldn't get me in that day. When I called to complain I spoke with Darrick Harris who instantly escalated my problem to the powers at the store and found the time to pick up my car personally, bring it to the store, have it fixed, washed and cleaned and drove it back to my home. That's going above and beyond. Thanks Darrick, you and your dealership are both AWESOME! More
