This place appears to be managed by greedy scammers that put themselves before the customer. I called and tried to buy a new vehicle there, and they require a non-negotiable "scam" of paying $300 for a set put themselves before the customer. I called and tried to buy a new vehicle there, and they require a non-negotiable "scam" of paying $300 for a set of ~$50 wheel locks. After stating several times I don't want them for that price, I reluctantly agreed since they still had the exact vehicle I wanted for the total price I thought was good. So they were about to take my deposit to hold it for me until I could pick it up, they asked for $3k down, I agreed, seems like a lot to hold it, but ends up the same (I had driven my family for vacation in SD that week and couldn't get there to pick it up until I returned), and then the management blocked it. They said they didn't want to hold it for a week because they might be able to sell it for more, even though I agreed to pay the price they listed it for!(was less than MSRP). I offered to put down a larger deposit, and they said no amount of money would hold it for me. Then they assured me it would be there in a week anyway, and 4 days later they sold it to someone else for who knows how much. This place does not put the customer first. I have been told a vehicle is already sold many times, but I have never been told I couldn't buy it because they want to sell it for more than they are asking for it, classic bait and switch. I will say the salesman was very friendly, and he was going to take my deposit, but his management blocked him! I ended up negotiating a similar deal elsewhere, that also had a much lower doc fee, they held it for me for only $500 until I could pick it up, and guess what, the GM wheel locks were on the vehicle for no extra charge and they didn’t even mention that let alone try to charge me $300 for it! In the end I am glad Homewood wouldn’t take my deposit, it saved me money and I got treated better going somewhere else instead of feeling like I was being scammed. More
