I am disappointed with this dealership. The salesman is a rare breed of kind and caring human beings who helped me to negotiate a great deal on the car, so I cannot be sad about that. Howev The salesman is a rare breed of kind and caring human beings who helped me to negotiate a great deal on the car, so I cannot be sad about that. However, a promised benefit was not only not honored, the dealership tried to explain it away and then act as though they were doing me a favor. Let me explain. Along with the vehicle, I was promised six oil changes and unlimited car washes. Even my partner thought this was generous, considering she was offered only two when she purchased her Nissan at a different dealership. When I came back several weeks later (on 12/16/24) for the first oil change, I mentioned several times I was there for my first free oil change. (I should note I live 30 minutes from the dealership but only 5 minutes from my local shop where I usually go for vehicle maintenance.) Two hours after arriving, I went to check out and saw I would get charged $80 for the change! Since this was obviously a mistake, I took it to the parts and service professional who had checked me in. He explained he could not find any maintenance plan on file for me. When I tried to explain, in a very calm voice, that I wouldn't have driven so far out to pay double what I could get 5 minutes away, done in 30-45 minutes, and for around half the price, he put his hand out toward my face, and raising his voice he told me he was just trying to help and didn't want to argue with me. This surprised me as I wasn't arguing. In any case, he had me sign off for the car before allowing me to leave, and said they would look into it. Later that day he called to request payment over the phone, as he didn't want to have to do any work during the holiday week. I said now and explained I would text my salesman to find out what happened. Several days later, the sales professional called back and texted to request payment again. I replied over text that I was waiting for the salesman to reply. On 12/23/24 the salesman replied, explaining that, in order to lower the price of my car, the six oil changes were removed from the offer. He apologized for the dealership not having communicated this to me and stated the one already done would incur no charge to me. Again, he is a rare kind of salesman who really wants to help his customers, and seemed to feel genuinely bad about what happened. However, his dealership has obviously pulled a bait-and-switch and expected me simply to accept it. Having me believe they are somehow doing me a favor by not charging me for something they had promised (and never once communicated that was pulled away) ruins my trust in them. I will not be sending my business to them, will not be recommending them, and very much look forward to not taking my car there for maintenance. More
