I spent $700 for a paint protection program and I received no information as to when I can wash the car, when or if can I wax it, what to do about tree sap, bugs, tar, etc. How do I submit a clai received no information as to when I can wash the car, when or if can I wax it, what to do about tree sap, bugs, tar, etc. How do I submit a claim, what constitutes a claim. When I got in the car there was a car care package, but that’s all the information and instructions I received on a $700 procedure. Also, I had the undercoat package applied. When I brought the car in for this process, I asked the Service Department to check and see if the car had not already be undercoated since it appeared to be undercoated when I had previously looked under the car. I never receive an answer. What should I expect from the undercoating? Is there a warranty, etc? I asked one of the service teams what it cost for an oil change for a 2011 Camry (10,000 miles). No one could give me an answer other that “around $60 – $70.” The sales staff was excellent but I didn’t get a warm fuzzy feeling from the Service Department. I would like to start by saying that my fiance and I had a wonderful experience with Jim from the beginning. He is a great man and wonderful to work with. I don't want to get to wordy so that people won't read this, but we would highly recommend Jim Bowman as your next salesman. As far as the rest of the ratings, I feel that we were treated with respect from all that we came in contact with. We were there pretty late on a Monday night and Jim, the finance manager, who helped us was great also. We took my car back the next day to get detailed because Jim Bowman said "its late and I want it done right". He is wonderful! Thank you Jim! :-) More
The guy not only convince me to stay and buy the first truck I saw instead of my plan to shop around at other dealers. Ray was a wonderful representative and sales person. As a matter of fact it did not even feel like "sales" - but more like someone helping us. I came in to test drive a truck I had shopped for on USAA.com. Michael was friendly straight forward and honest about the vehicle and all my questions for information. The team at Checkered Flag Toyota was absolutely wonderful! All of the employees, especially Terry and Ed, were very helpful. They were willing to work with us to find exactly what we wanted (at o wonderful! All of the employees, especially Terry and Ed, were very helpful. They were willing to work with us to find exactly what we wanted (at one point trying to locate the perfect combination of colors in a 13 state region!), to go over several different vehicles and the numbers to go with in order to find the Right One. They were also willing to go above and beyond by showing us all the bells and whistles on our new car (teaching us how to use everything if necessary) and checking out a tire that we thought might have a screw in it before we left (the service department had left for the day). Additionally, the manager Jay Hamilton, provided us a name and number of a towing company that would drop everything to help us if there proved to be a problem with that tire (there wasn't - everything was fine). It wasn't necessary for them to go that far but it sure made us feel that our business was worth that effort! Everything and everyone involved in our transaction made us feel like part of the Checkered Flag family! Thank you all!!! More
When my wife and I came there was to just look and price new and used cars. We was told that the cars was nice and price was not too high, by ours son who said he knew the riht sale person. After doing my research on which vehicle I wanted I started visiting several Toyota Dealerships not only in the Hampton Roads area (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Glouster) but also in Maryland (Easton) a started visiting several Toyota Dealerships not only in the Hampton Roads area (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Glouster) but also in Maryland (Easton) and Delaware (Milford & Dover). My initial contact with every dealership was the same. Asking several questions, stating the manner in which I wanted to purchase the vehicle (single price 'out the door', was going to finance with USAA and use the USAA Buying Service) I would get the standard "we can make it happen" response from all the dealers but when I would go in to start to talk specifics I felt like nothing I said was heard or understood and I was starting over. I emailed Checkered Flag the USAA Buying Service Certificate and Shea contacted me via email like I asked (no other dealership followed my request). Our initial correspondence was via email then by phone. I was straight forward with Shea and she me. I also told Shea that I had heard the same exact 'sales pitch' before and the story had changed when I visited the other dealerships. Shea asked to put me on hold to make confirm the prices we discussed and the particular model Tacoma I wanted was available. Both were confirmed and she said the next step was to come in and ask for Ed or Josh. I visited Checkered Flag a day or two later and was introduced to Ed (Sales Manager). Ed directed me to Michael Cerrone. I reviewed what I discussed with Shea and his immediate response was "No problem - we can do that". Michael located the Tacoma I was interested in, thoroughly explained the Tacoma and we went for a test drive. Once we came back I told Michael I wanted the truck but would need to see the figures we discussed on paper. He did not hesitate in doing so and the numbers we discussed were exactly what was quoted! I told Michael that I definitely wanted the truck but unfortunately due to my hectic schedule I would not be able to come back until Monday after work (This was Thursday lunch time). He said no problem and said if I wanted to hold the truck all I had to do was put a deposit on it and he would put a sold sign in it so no one else touched the truck. I went back Monday after work, did the paperwork and drove my truck home. Bottom line.......I got the EXACT truck at the EXACT deal I wanted - No hassle, No Bull Crap! Since then I've had several people ask me about my buying experience and have told them that if they want to purchase a vehicle without the unnecessary normal sales tactics that they should go to Checkered Flag and work with Shea and Michael! More
