I believe that a "great" rating is well deserved by Checkered Flag and its crew. In fact, I would say that overall, their effort was excellent. I contacted the dealership knowing exactly what I wanted. Dionne immediately (same dat) responded to my request for the exact car I wanted (2012 Accent SE, Clear Water Blue with Gray interior). I had tried to get this car from other dealerships, but no one else had it in the configuration I wanted -- and the best they could offer was several weeks of waiting for it. After receiving her reply, I called the dealership and asked to come see the car. I first met with Tom who quickly provided an estimate. While he was doing that, they brought the car out for me to look over and sit in -- Despite not being even checked in! (It still had Styrofoam pieces on the outside doors, and plastic covers over the body). The estimate was what I expected so I told Tom that I would like to purchase the car that night -- however, I made it clear that I had no time for haggling or "selling" and would cheerfully leave if I felt they were wasting my time. Tom introduced me to Brian, who took care of the rest of the sale with alacrity. Brian was definitely the right person to send me to. I don't like salespeople (no offense -- I used to be in sales and hated it); but Brian seemed to know to keep the "sales" low and the "simply responsive" high. He pulled the deal together quickly, while giving me all the information I asked for and not pushing info that I already knew or did not care about. I regret that I have forgotten the name of the man who did the financing/paper work/plates in the last stage of the deal. He was very friendly and (like the others) responded to my need for haste. I was actually surprised how short and painless that stage was -- and grateful too. After that, the deal having been concluded, Brian and I spoke briefly about the car and when I could pick it up. I told him there was no rush to get it ready, but he assured me that it would be ready the next day for pickup. I explained that I might not be able to get a ride to the dealership on such short notice -- so he offered to come pick me up! The next day, I received an email from Brian saying that my car was ready and that I should call him when I wanted a ride to the dealership. I called, he drove out to me, and I went to pick up my new car (whose name is Sky, BTW. I think anything you spend over 10k on has to have a name -- heck, its why we name children!). At the dealership, Brian sat in Sky with me and quickly went through all the features. He said that if there was anything that I was not satisfied with, I was to call him so that the dealership could make it right. He then thanked me for my patronage, and told me to enjoy my new car. I purchased a used car from Checkered Flag, when I went to pick the car the battery was dead and the car had another minor mechanical problem. Our experience over the years with the Checkered Flag dealerships has always been good and as a result they were our first choice when we made the decision to buy a Toyota. My overall car buying experience with the Checkered Flag Toyota dealership was oustanding. The personnel we interacted with over the course of the transaction were professional, going out their way on an individual and collective basis to ensure that we thoroughly understood all of our options and the information provided. The organization and processes are well rehearsed and Terrance took the lead and moved us through the transaction with minimal wasted time. This personal level of service to the customer was exemplary, and while we were aware that there were at least 5 other transactions happening with other customers at the same time, there was no disruption to our experience. All of the employees Terrance introduced us to were experts in their designated areas, displaying a cheerful and helpful demeanor as you would expect from people who are confident and self assured. Each of them spent the time to make absolutely certain that all of our questions were answered. Based upon our experience, we will continue to make Checkered Flag our dealership of choice and will recommend them to our friends. More
