We went to the dealership to get a new 4runner. We put down a deposit on one car and changed our minds. We then wanted a 2012 4runner which the dealership had to get for use. We did need some training which they gave excellent instruction. Appointments for car service are already lined up. Again, no waste of our time. I am a highly educated woman with a low tolerance for incompetence and/or poor service. So in the pursuit of purchasing a brand new Toyota Corolla S, I ended up storming out of one too many dealerships w incompetence and/or poor service. So in the pursuit of purchasing a brand new Toyota Corolla S, I ended up storming out of one too many dealerships with a bloody trail of very harsh words. I resorted to over-the-phone negotiations in order to reduce the verbal bloodshed arising from numerous unfortunate encounters with typical salesmen; incompetent and/or overbearing, drooling with liars desperate to sell their mothers to make a sale. It was with such preconceived notions of salesmen that I encountered Raymond Aiden with Checkered Flag Toyota. By now, you must have sensed my strong aversion to car salesmen so it was no menial task for Mr. Aiden to gain my trust and make a sale. He cleverly and cautiously proved that -good car salesman- is not always an oxymoron. As the exception to the rule, he delivered stellar service that culminated in the purchase of my car with Checkered Flag Toyota. Ray is a seasoned professional who not only has in-depth knowledge of cars and the industry, but he painstakingly guides his buyers through the process of what to expect and what to avoid in the near future. He was neither overbearing nor patronizing in his delivery of necessary information required for the making of an informed decision- a decision that I stand by today. (If I grow displeased, I'll be most thorough to testify here!) I not only commend Ray Aiden, I go forward to recommend the Checkered Flag Dealership for their receptive atmosphere and personable customer service. They are not too big a dealership to treat their customers like cattle moving them down a feeding trough, neither are they too small to cater to the nuanced needs varying among customers. A rare gem amidst the detestable ash heap of regional dealerships I've experienced. KEY ADVICE: NEVER go to RK AUTO unless you are mentally and emotionally prepared to be treated like human xxxx. I encountered Checkered Flag and Ray Aiden afterwards and it was a welcomed breath of fresh air. Raymond epitomizes what the car buying experience should be. A good car salesman is hard to find- trust me, I have the flesh wounds to prove it- so the few good ones should be celebrated. As a professor at a local university, I'll continue to celebrate and endorse the likes of Mr. Aiden via the students I send his way when- in due course- they are ready to buy! THANKS RAY! More
