Took my daughter's 1999 Cabrio in for a broken power window. I had already removed the door panel, hardware and all switches prior to taking it to the dealership. They charged $60 just to look at it, plus added insult to injury by charging $7 for "shop supplies". What a scam! I'll never return or recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Service and customer service was exceptional. The only thing that bothered me was that it was way overpriced. I asked if I could get a courtesy computer reading since the check engine light was on and the thing that bothered me was that it was way overpriced. I know it doesn't cost anything just to plug in the computer just to tell me what the check engine light was for. More

I love this car and I love the s Hello my name is David Coleman and I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI which I purchased new from Chapman Volkswagen. I love this car and I love the service I get from Chapman. I've done all my regular maintenance and some warranty work with Chapman, and my favorite service advisor, by far, is Richard Little. He's always been very courteous and respectful to me, and has always tried to be very straightforward with me, and he's a very attentive listener. In my experience, it's his know-how and his willingness to understand the whole problem or issue, that makes him a great advisor. I think a good advisor has to be able to listen, as well as communicate advise. I've found that it's rare to find an individual with this quality in the automotive industry. The focus always seems to be on confusing industry double-speak, along with high-pressure sales, and of course the obligatory add-ons to inflate the customer's bill exponentially, and thusly increase the business's revenue and mechanics' commissions. This is one of the main reasons why people tend to be apprehensive about doing business with dealerships. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has felt this way about the automotive repair industry. But, I've never felt this way at Chapman, especially with Richard as my advisor. I TRUST both Richard Little and the service dept. at Chapman Volkswagen implicitly. My car is always fixed right the first time - period. I'm a busy person, like the majority of Americans are, and I simply don't have time to reschedule another appointment for some botched repair. Time is money, and Chapman recognizes this principle applies to us the consumers, as well as themselves. This IS good business. I'm not simply saying this lightly - they have EARNED my trust. When a dealership can inspire this much confidence in me as the consumer - it's priceless, and I really appreciate this! I'd rate Richard Little's overall performance, knowledge, and his affable nature as a 10 out of 10! :-) Chapman Volkswagen has always provided me with great service and 'peace of mind'. How much is that worth? Can it be measured in real-world terms? Well, when you can hand over your keys to your wife, or to your son or daughter, without any worries or reservations after a repair - it's invaluable. And I believe that Chapman's commitment to it's customers and their vehicles is also invaluable. Especially with caring advisors like Richard Small, there's no doubt in my mind that this dealership represents the best that the automotive repair industry has to offer.They have earned my trust, respect, and my continued business. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a no-nonesense, hassle-free experience to give Chapman Volkswagen and service advisor Richard Small a try. I'd rate Chapman Volkswagen a 10 out of 10. Scott's Performance After 12 months of repeated attempts Scott's Performance After 12 months of repeated attempts (7!) to fix a tire pressure problem, our new Service Adviser Scott MacNeil finally achieved Scott's Performance After 12 months of repeated attempts (7!) to fix a tire pressure problem, our new Service Adviser Scott MacNeil finally achieved to fix the problem. Scott followed through with the arrangements made with Ryan, the regional case manager of VW customer care. He also and without hesitation kept his promise to provide a rental/loaner while waiting for parts. What fixed the problem was the mutual insight that the "soaking with soap test" and "continues re-inflating" apparently does not solve the problem if the tires prove to continuously lose air. VW (meaning Ryan, Scott, and probably also David Rupp) finally understood that there are only two other possible fixes: - clean out contact between rim and tire, and/or - renew valve stems. The repair was now about a month ago ... and so far the pressure holds!! Critique (has nothing to do with Scott - Scott was excellent): - The mechanic typed into the form that tires were rotated, which in actuality did not happen (which caused us to return one more time). Notice that despite this small issue I would also rate the mechanic that performed the tasks as excellent. - Overall, dealership should be more pro-active to resolve such an issue earlier that 12 months, which BTW also would safe VW money and time. I've been told by Ryan that the performed warranty was some kind of courtesy as normally tires are not included. I respectfully disagree as here we are not talking about a malfunction of the tire but about the CONTACT between the car and the tire and the valve stems. But even if it was a courtesy, I believe from a marketing standpoint that it should be in the interest of the dealership to resolve such an issue earlier than 12 months to retain a customer for a future car purchase. More

Phenominal service! My advisor Richard was very helpful, and kept me informed. Very quick turn around on my 03 gti and they even let me ride in style in a 09 jetta while the repairs were being made.
