I came to this dealer because I had a "pre-negotiated" price through my insurance company. Once on the lot, Steve Cargill took me for a test drive on a new Jetta. The car was fine. Back in the office, Steve started to tell me that I had to pay extra for window tinting and nitrogen in the tires. The good news, according to Steve, was that my car buying program arranged special pricing for these items. $199 for window tinting and $40 for nitrogen in the tires. I said that I did not want to pay for this stuff and I wanted to pay the price on the price certificate I brought with me. Steve said OK. HE EVEN SHOOK MY HAND. Steve said I had to wait to see the finance guy to sign the paperwork. After keeping me waiting an hour, I was introduced to Nick in Finance. Nick printed out my paperwork (why was I waiting an hour?) Nick said that he had to charge me $239 for a special security etching that was on the windshield. He had me sign a special piece of paper for this. By this time I was tired of fighting and relented. I was never given a copy of the "window etching" paperwork. Upon inspecting the car in the light of day, there is no tinting on the windows. There is no nitrogen in the tires. Chapman VW sells you of "bill of goods" for these so called features they add to the car. I am never purchasing a car from any Chapman dealer in the future and I am never buying another VW. If you are smart, stay away from these guys. More
This was my go-to dealer after dealing with the incompetent staff at VW North Scottsdale. That is until I needed to have a major item replaced that is still covered under warranty. I had hesitation to have such work performed on my vehicle, but was ensured that everything would be handled correctly. Once I picked my vehicle up, I noticed that there were several trim pieces on the interior of my vehicle that were scratched, some even having deep gouges. I immediately drove the car back into the service area to disclose my findings. Both the service advisor and manager were speechless. Not only did they incorrectly install the major component on my vehicle, they also neglected to replace some parts leaving holes exposed, and of course the scratches. I was assured that they would fix the issues and that everything would be as good as new. After contemplating legal action, I decided to have them fix their so-called work and take it from there. The management staff at this dealership refuses to take responsibility for what they have done, instead they basically made me feel as though they did me a favor(!) And then I received a phone call from "management" after the fact, where they stated to me that my vehicle may have already had those scratches prior to my bringing it to their dealership! So not only was it a slap in the face for the damage they caused the first time around, but no to insinuate that I may have done the damage myself! This is the kind of treatment this dealership believes in when dealing with a serious situation such as this. I had no choice but to contact VW North America and speak to the office of the president. Hopefully they will straighten out this mess and this dealership's holier than thou attitude. I will NEVER bring my vehicle back to this dealership, or give any Chapman dealership my business. I would rather return to VW of North Scottsdale then ever return here! More

I brought my Tiguan into the dealership for warranty repair of a faulty gas gauge. Dustin provided exemplary service in explaining the difficulty of diagnosing the problem. The repair technicians test drove the car and determined that the standard repair of replacing the part did not resolve the problem. Dustin again explained that the problem was unusual, and that Techline needed to the called for advice on how to complete the repair. Altough the repair took longer than expected, Dustin and the service staff made clear that they would keep at it until it was fixed. The gauge is working fine now, and I continue to recommend Chapman to fiends and family members interested in a VW. More
The sales process was made better by the willingness of the sales employees to make sure that the customer was fully satisfied. I brought my leased vehicle in for service. Justin called to update me on the status of the service as well as the time frame of when to expect my vehicle to be completed. Justin said that it was put through the car was the day before, but there were a lot of dust storms coming through. Waited two hours for a tire replacement, was told it would only take 30/45 min. As a result I was late to work. The low tire pressure indicator light came back on. My car could not get washed.
