Great Service Great Deals Overall great experience. I have been searching for a while. Going thru hundreds of trucks on Cargurus, TrueCar, Autotrader, Cars.com, and several websites of dealership inventories. Found one that was in my price range with everything I wanted on it and decided to go take a look at it. Had no intention of purchasing that day. Took it for a test drive and immediately loved it. I had no trade and was going to pay cash. Price was fair but was looking for of course a better deal. No pressure from salesman or sales manager whatsoever. Very casual on price talk but info about the vehicle was over the top. My Salesman Sammy was very informative& helpful but he brought out his sales manager Robert who used to sell the truck I was looking at. He was a living, walking, breathing owners manual. He spent 30-40 min going over interior & exterior features and also compared them to the other brands in the same class. So after taking in all this info I made an offer. We could not come to an agreement and parted ways. After going home and looking at some more trucks with similar features, I realized that this was a fair deal and way to nice a truck to pass up. I purchased it the next day. I believe I was treated fairly without the usual games dealers play. Great experience with Chapman, Sammy my salesman, Robert the sales manager, and Brian & RC in finance dept. Great job & teamwork gentlemen. Keep up the good work. More
Horrible experience I would like to start off my saying the Chapman Auto Group is a horrible company to purchase a vehicle from, but this location on McDowell is by far t I would like to start off my saying the Chapman Auto Group is a horrible company to purchase a vehicle from, but this location on McDowell is by far the absolute worst. I tried to purchase a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle turbo that was very heavily modified on 04/28/2019. The entire sales team and management were aware they were selling a modified vehicle and was even told by my salesman they don’t sell modified vehicles like this. I test drove the vehicle and loved it. It was the exact price that I wanted. I filled out a credit application and was told that I had 2 approvals on financing. I told them great I didn’t want to take the vehicle without a guaranteed yes on financing. I signed all of the paperwork and was told I had to purchase R.E.D system as it was installed in the vehicle. The R.E.D system is a huge scam. The system is to have the 3rd brake lamp flash a number of times before coming on solid to alert the drive behind you faster that the brakes are applied. I told them I did not want that and they told me it’s already in the vehicle that I had to purchase it. Upon being followed home from the dealership 4/28 we found the 3rd brake light did not flash at all no matter what speed the brakes were applied. I immediately knew this dealership scammed me out of $399.00. Also, on my drive home the check engine light came on about 15 miles into the drive. I did some research on the turbocharger under boost code and found that it was related to the aftermarket APR ECM tune that was installed in the vehicle. I called the very next day early in the morning on 04/29 to let the manager know the check engine light had come on. I left a message for the sales manager and did not get a call back. I took it upon myself to have the issue addressed and took the vehicle to an APR authorized dealer and was told the ECM needed to be updated and also the intake on the vehicle was incorrect due to the type of tune on the vehicle and was going to start causing damage to the turbo and also the intake system of the vehicle. I spent $932.84 to have the ECM updated and intake replaced so the engine light would go off. The tuner also notified me that the aftermarket wheels the vehicle was sold with were not correct for the vehicle and unsafe as the wheels do no sit on the vehicles hub bearing correctly. I took it upon myself to go purchase a set of wheels that would be safe and that actually fit the vehicle so I didn’t have to worry about one flying off during my 80 mile commute to and from work. I received a call from RC the finance director on 5/03 saying they have been trying to get ahold of me (they called an old number that I did not list on anything I filled out) and that they were having financing problems but not to worry I would get financed. I submitted to him documents he needed. I got a text on 5/10/2019 that I needed to come into the dealership. Upon the arrival at the dealership with my fiancé I was treated extremely rude by RC and his very poor attitude. He felt as though he could speak to us however he wanted because he was the director of finance. He made me feel very uncomfortable by commitments he made after finding out I was gay. I am over the games with this dealership and have returned this car that has turned out to be a nightmare of a purchase. I would no recommend this dealership at all. I feel very uncomfortable with any Chapman dealership because of the comments that were made regarding my sexual orientation. I would stay far away from them. They steal, sell unsafe vehicles and make you as the customer feel all around horrible. More
We stopped into the dealership for service, when we got our estimate, we decided to look at a used car. when Bob told us what we could buy a new car for and it would be worth our while to see the numbers our estimate, we decided to look at a used car. when Bob told us what we could buy a new car for and it would be worth our while to see the numbers on it we did. Not only did we get a great deal on the new Fusion, but we did not have to fix our Taurus. it was painless to buy a car and would recommend them to others... More
