After having done business in the past with the Chapman auto group, I thought this would be an easy enjoyable purchase. I was VERY VERY WRONG! On May 11th I went into Chapman Mitsubishi/Hyundai with the auto group, I thought this would be an easy enjoyable purchase. I was VERY VERY WRONG! On May 11th I went into Chapman Mitsubishi/Hyundai with the purpose of purchasing a used vehicle and trading in my worn out 2006 lancer. After meeting with the salesman I had figured out which vehicle I wanted and what I was willing to pay. With in 2 hours they had the deal hashed out and I was signing the paperwork. After I getting everything done we agreed that I would take ownership of the car on Wednesday the 15th so it could get the full 60k servicing before I drove it off of the lot. Come wednesday the 15th i call the salesman to make sure the car is ready so I dont have to drive 35 miles across town to pick it up to find out it wasnt done. Well guess what, it isnt done. Well now it will be ready thursday for sure. Thursday rolls around and now it will be done on friday. Friday I call and there is still an issue with it being ready so I requested to speak with a manager to find out what the hang up is. Turns out the car I had purchased hadnt had its deal completed so Basically I was waiting to purchase a car that the dealership didnt even own yet. Thankfully I hadnt left the lot with it. Come saturday I showed up at the dealership promptly at 9 and explained to them that if the deal isnt done with the car I chose, then I want to be put into something else... They assured me the deal for the car is now complete and the car is mine to take with a slight modification to the loan, a slightly lower interest rate, so no complaints. Well now that I have the car I assumed we were good to go.. after the first week of owning the car I get a call that the deal had to change because they screwed up on the paperwork. so I go in sign the new paperwork and off I go again. at this point the Lancer payment date came and went .... after another week I call the lender who holds my lancer note only to find out they have yet to be contacted by the dealer. I call Chapman and they say they are running a little behind on their paperwork but will get it finished before the next payment date. Well another week passes and I get called to go down once more cause they payment term needed to be adjusted.. This is fine, Im good with a shorter term and slighty higher payment as my total is now even lower. I have also during this time had several other issues with their finance person that Im not going to bring up cause they have as of last week been let go.. The last time i signed the paperwork the finance guy assured me that they would get it sent in the very next day as they were running close to the 30day mark from where I initially applied. This was thursday June 6th. Today June 15th I get a call from the finance manager that they didnt get the paperwork in in time and now they had to run my credit again and because they ran it through 20 different lenders the first time and now that i have 2 late payments on the Lancer that they have had for over a month, they cant get me financed. I asked what the xxxx happened with getting my paperwork in in time and he says "oh I guess we dropped the ball" with a chuckle. I now am supposed to bring the car back on monday if they cant find a new finance group to take the loan or to get a co-signer which I dont want to do. Yes my credit wasnt great before this as I had just gone through a divorce but they had found me financing and it was what I wanted. Now my credit score is even worse off, I get nothing out of it and they plan on charging me for the month that I had the car, while they have had my Lancer for the same time frame. And I am supposed to just accept the fact they dropped the ball as an answer to why this whole deal fell through. I am very disappointed with this dealership and their people share no concern for their own failures in this deal. I will never shop here again and I have made sure to spread this to everyone I know looking for a car. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS!! While the salesman I worked with was great!, the rest of the people who work here dont care and dont take accountability for their short comings with the paperwork. More

My name is ken wiley. I have dealt with dealers if many brands over my driving time and owned enough cars to know the dealer customer dance all too well. There is no dance at Chapman. You get service with brands over my driving time and owned enough cars to know the dealer customer dance all too well. There is no dance at Chapman. You get service with no run around and no "oh by the way you need this Too" type tactics. You get exactly what you need in a clearly outlined preemptive manner. There is no rushing pushiness or you can't be late or we won't fit you in attitudes. It is welcome destination where a customer can feel human and not like an animal in a cage of ethical abuse. Peter the service writer is a solid performer In Every aspect his position would and does require of him. He should be praised for the manner he conducts himself in as far as I'm concerned, especially with the magnitude of the responsibilities he performes with precision and excellence. I will be a Chapman customer for a very long time. More
I purchased my 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander at a different dealership and was not even aware of Chapman until I decided to find a service dealership closer to home. I have been bringing my car to Chapman for dealership and was not even aware of Chapman until I decided to find a service dealership closer to home. I have been bringing my car to Chapman for at least 6 months now and have never looked back. The original reason I came to Chapman was location but since then I have had great service and have been very happy. I would never take my car anywhere else. The reason I did not give prices a 5 was because I am cheap. (I have however, called around and realize that Chapman's prices are competitive.) Peter has been a pleasure to work with and has always delivered on anything he promised. I wish more dealerships earned their service the way that Chapman does which is through customer service and delivering what they promise when they promise it. More
I called to make an appointment for my oil change as well as a separate appointment for a part that needed to be repaired, both appointments were made totally at my convince. I was asked ‘what time would yo as a separate appointment for a part that needed to be repaired, both appointments were made totally at my convince. I was asked ‘what time would you like to come in’ I was not told a time to come in. Upon arrival the service representative was courteous and friendly and the work was done in a timely manner More
Although the Chapman dealership corporation has only owned this dealership for 3 to 4 years, I have been buying and having my Mitsubishis serviced here since 1992. This is the fifth car I have bought a owned this dealership for 3 to 4 years, I have been buying and having my Mitsubishis serviced here since 1992. This is the fifth car I have bought at this location. One of the major factors in buying a 2010 Outlander was the quality of service I have received over the past 18 years, and the very pleasant experience of buying another new Mitsubishi there. Because I bought a vehicle with nearly all the "bells and whistles," there was no pressure to add this or that option. I was working with my insurance company's buying service for the particular vehicle I wanted at the mutually agreed-upon price; however, it was not available in their inventory. Rather than get me to buy something else, they went above and beyond to find me the vehicle I wanted. And, at a most reasonable price. I was also particularly pleased that they didn't pressure me to buy an extended warranty. I did purchase one, but only after Tim explained what it covered and how it worked - something that I had not heard before. Financing was fast, easy and painless. Partly because I have good credit and a pre-approved loan ready and waiting from my insurance company (whom I have been with since 1964), all it took was filling out a credit report, two phone calls, and a fax to authorise the money to be sent to Chapman Mitsubishi. The lion's share of credit for the pleasant experience goes to Hal. He took the time to not only answer all my questions, but also to demonstrate the bells and whistles until I cried, "uncle." He even called me this morning to point out one of the "bells" - actually, the heated seats switches - that we hadn'd covered yesterday. Overall, purchasing a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS from Chapman Bell Road Imports was a most satisfying experience. More
