LIARS LIARS LIARS - BUYERS BEWARE THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT EVEN WORTH A 1 STAR REVIEW BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE AT LEAST 1 STAR Do not deal with Marisol Guzman she does not know her job. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT EVEN WORTH A 1 STAR REVIEW BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE AT LEAST 1 STAR Do not deal with Marisol Guzman she does not know her job. (1) She thought a Ram truck was a ford (2) Took 3 phone calls to tell me if the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 $10,993 was at the dealership and available to purchase (3)got to the dealership and the truck was waiting for us to test drive with 0 miles of gas in it. Had to wait 15 minutes to get gas to be able to test drive. (4) She tried to tell me this was a certified pre owned with warranty when it had 143,000 miles on the vehicle. Then again not knowing her job. (5) promised to hold vehicle (6) did not ask for money to hold vehicle (7) did not tell a manager she had someone interested in the Ram (8) did not know there was a sell in progress. We all know this takes awhile. really she did not know her vehicle she was trying to sell was being sold. (9) Text me stating she will see me soon and vehicle was already sold when we arrived at our scheduled time to meet her (10) has a hard time understanding We did like the truck after the test drive. I explained to Marisol I had to take my 16 year old son to work and I would be back at 6:45 with a mechanic to test drive again.I looked her in the eyes and stated prior to me leaving - please do not sell this vehicle out from under me I will be back at 6:45. She stated she would not. I texted her at 4:45 and stated I was on my way. She texted me back and stated perfect see you soon. I arrived at 6:35 PM to meet with Marisol she greeted us and stated she will go get the keys for us to test drive the vehicle. THIS IS THE BEST PART She comes back out to the truck and states another salesman is in the process of selling this vehicle. Note: I had my dad (mechanic) drive from Prescott valley to meet me to inspect the vehicle. She didn't even know there was a deal in the works and it was sold. She made me make the trip to the dealership (30 mile trip) and my dad (150 miles) for a vehicle that was in the process of selling when she texted me and stated she would see me in a bit. I asked if they could stop the sell of the vehicle since I was promised by Marisol she would hold the vehicle while I took my son to work. OH!!!! when she was in front of her boss she stated I should have given her money to hold the vehicle for 3 hours. This was never mentioned to me prior to leaving the dealership. I would have given a cash deposit if asked. Needless to say I was very upset and irritated. Her manger Thor came out to try to smooth things over but stated he could not stop the deal that was in progress and was sorry. He offered to fill my tank up my car with gas but the catch was Marisol had to go with us in our vehicle to get the gas. REALLY!!!! I declined the free gas offer because I told him I didn't want her anywhere near me. I told him she doesn't know her job and should not be working there. He agreed!! OH THIS GETS EVEN BETTER: Thor stated to me on Friday night he would try to find my son another vehicle. Did not receive a call from him until Thursday asking if I was still interested in the truck because the prior buyers finance fell through and the vehicle was available. NO THANKS!! I only buy vehicles from reputable dealerships that have sales people that do not make empty promises to me and my 16 year old son. IT'S ABOUT PRINCIPLE AT THIS POINT. I COULD HAVE SAID YES TO THIS VEHICLE FOR $10,993 BUT INSTEAD I PURCHASED A 2007 YUKON FOR $15,900 at AUTIO NATION FIAT 1-17 BELL ROAD STEVER ROGERS AND MATT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR VEHICLE AT AUTO NATION FIAT. CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. A PERSONS WORD IS PRICELESS. CAN'T TRUST A PERSONS WORD ANYMORE AND THAT IS VERY SAD. BEWARE BUYERS.... BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK HERE...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The entire I don't often take the time to write great things about vehicle dealerships. However, in this case Chapman Ford warrants the extra effort. The entire vehicle buying experience was a shining example of what customer service means. I was completely happy with their professionalism and partnership in listening to my needs, understanding my budget and showing me a vehicle that "I" was looking for rather than what they 'wanted' to show me. I bought the 2014 F-150 and love it. The Customer Service Director Julie Schmit and Internet Service Manager Aidee Perez made all the difference in this process and based on the 'lesser' experience I had at another dealership the week before these two rockstars came through to make everything work out. Thanks Chapman Ford! More

He assured me numerous times via email that everything was approved and good to go. I had a few concerns about the warranty on their used car (the website that have this as a disclaimer, but the value has to be over $15,000 even if it is a Ford Certified car) so I decided I was going to look elsewhere. Tate assured me that he wanted my business and would honor the requested warranty. So we decided to give them a chance and I should have gone with my initial instinct as the experience was full of gimmicks and deceit. After taking possession of the car, they said the credit application wasn't approved until nearly a week after but they wanted me to come in and sign additional paper on Wednesday for a loan that wasn't approved until Thursday morning (per Marcus). They used an avoidance tactic between Tuesday-Wednesday when i tried to call Marcus and Zoe to get additional details. I left many voicemails asking for specific details before making the nearly hour commute to the dealership. On Thursday morning, they decided to call because they wanted me to sign the additional paperwork, and knew that I needed answers before this was going to happen. When they finally gave me answers, they wanted $1,000 down payment (up from the agreed $0 down), interest rate increased over 10% above originally stated rate, and increase in monthly payment of nearly $200.00. If you decide to purchase from this establishment, beware and make sure you clearly ask if this is the finalized agreement. They misdirect and rush you through the paperwork. My advise is to visit another dealership, but if you do decide to go here, slow down, read everything and ask specific. Accept nothing but a complete answer to your questions. Don't get sucked into to the excitement of owning a new/used car. More

He was hassle free and there was no pressure to buy. I was looking for a 2014 mustang gt premium with manual transmission. They didn't have any on the lot and it was the end of the year. They searched for the car I wanted and found the last one in AZ. I'm so pleased with this experience and absolutely love my mustang. Thank you Terrace, you truly are the perfect salesman. More

Was assured multiple times by salesman is All the same old car dealership tactics. Agreed on price, trade in, and APR for financing before coming in. Was assured multiple times by salesman is would be and in and out transaction with no changes. Arrived at dealership and immediately price was higher, trade was lower, and APR was higher. They would not honor original numbers they had agreed upon and offered no explanation just different "managers" trying to close you. Also when you choose not to work with them they will send your application to at least 15 banks trying to ruin your credit score. Stay away. More
Was basically lied to. I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape SE from Chapman Ford in September 2014. I got a pretty good deal on the car considering it was the end of the month an I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape SE from Chapman Ford in September 2014. I got a pretty good deal on the car considering it was the end of the month and the end of the model year. However, my problem was that I was repeatedly told by the salesman that the car came with navigation. He said specifically it had navigation, answered yes when we asked if the navigation system in the SE was the same as the one in the Titanium version, and said that all of the Escapes with the larger screens came with navigation. Even after I purchased the car and was returning to the dealership to drop the salesman off after he delivered the car to my house, he selected the portion of the screen that usually has the navigation system and told me that this is where the navigation system was, but said that "I guess" I needed to set it up before it would work. So, obviously, I believed that I had a "navigation" system in the car. After trying to setup the navigation system, as I was instructed to do by the salesman, I notice it wasn't working. I called the salesman the next day, and when he called me back he told me that there wasn't a navigation system in the car, but instead the Ford MySync Services. This was the first time he ever mentioned "MySync Services" and not navigation system. Considering he specifically told me, many times, that it had a "navigation" system I was a bit dismayed that he was now saying the exact opposite. I was now being told by the salesman that the car did not have a navigation system, but they could install one for $1,300. I am not going to pay these people an additional $1,300 for a system I was repeatedly told was already in the car. I cannot and would not recommend buying a car from Chapman Ford to anybody I know. Although it is possible to get a good deal from them, you cannot trust the salesmen, which is obviously fairly important in buying a car. If you do purchase a car from them, make sure that you double check that all of the features the salesman mentions are actually in the car, as in my case, they were not. As there are a number of other Ford Dealerships in the Valley, I would recommend going elsewhere to buy a Ford. I believe you could find the same deal I got from another dealership with a more trustworthy sales staff. More
Great service, but one crazy year of ownership! I want to start by saying that this doesn't reflect the service and comfort level of Chapman Ford. They are really a great dealership. This is for peo I want to start by saying that this doesn't reflect the service and comfort level of Chapman Ford. They are really a great dealership. This is for people thinking of purchasing a Ford Edge... I purchased my Edge in March of 2013 brand new. Since purchasing, I've had to take it a total of 5 times for a missing part, 3 manufacturing recalls, and most recently a broken hose to the brake booster (basically allows you to stop). Luckily Ford covered this repair, minus the rental (which was taken care of by Chapman Ford -- cool on their part). After picking up my vehicle and driving it home -- you won't believe this -- ANOTHER issue. A "wrench" icon shows on my dash. Thinking it's a service icon, I go to my book to make sure. It says it has to do with my power train -- see dealer immediately. I called to explain that I JUST had my car in the shop and this happens. I told them I didn't feel safe driving the car back, so they needed to send someone to pick it up, which they did (great service on their part). After calling for an update, I was told that the brake switch broke and needed to be replaced. This is after I just had the brake booster fixed (within hours). So I'm like "how the xxxx does that happen?" and "why wasn't it caught on a final inspection/ test drive?" I mean something like that doesn't fail on one drive home -- which they assured me could happen. I'd have to have some real bad luck for that. Long story short, the service (from what I have seen) is great. They were willing to fix the issues and/ or mistakes and make it right. But this "brand new" car that I bought has had MULTIPLE things wrong with it in a little over a year. I don't know if it's the Ford Edge model in general, or that I just got a bad pick of the litter. Oh, and the icing on the cake... I get a letter in the mail a day or so later telling me my manufacturer warranty is up and that I should purchase the extended warranty. I had to laugh out loud on that one. AGAIN, I don't want this review to reflect negatively on the service from Chapman Ford. They are awesome at fixing the problem. I just want you to be aware of this vehicle. More

However, it was Saturday on Labor Day Weekend, I wanted a new car and the other dealers were giving me the run around. (Come all the way to the West Valley for a "free TV" Free? Yeah, right. Am I looking to buy a TV anyways? No, I want a car) I did an Internet Inquiry on their website and I received a near instant reply from Justin Harris who did not waste my time on the "normal" dealer games. His sales manager, Andrew Lucas called me as they didn't have the exact color I wanted. Nonetheless, he asked me to hold tight and give him (and Justin) an hour or two and one of them would find it. Sure enough, a couple hours later he called me with a firm time that the exact car I wanted would be at his dealership. I arrived at the dealer, none of the normal games I have had in the past ("The oh there is a speck of dirt on your trade, now it's worth $2000 less) so I really appreciated it. He had the car ready for me to inspect right out front. We test drove it and it was exactly what I wanted. He then needed a little time to get the car clean and polished which I completely understood as they just drove it all the way from the Southeast Valley for me. Next, we went in to finance and met with a very prepared Zoe. He had the agreed price and everything correct on the forms, the first time. I say this because shady dealers will usually try to play the bait and switch game in finance and put the car in for a different price (Oh, that was just a typo), but none of that nonsense here. In and out in under five minutes. No games in here. No mystical protection from alien space creatures was forced upon me to buy. Side note: I did let them know I usually don't buy any of that stuff as I only keep a car until its warranty is up. But all around nice guy and was easy to work with. No wasting my time. Last stop, Justin helped me remove everything from my old car and then put it in my new car. He did a tour of the vehicle with me and explained and setup lots of features including the keyless buttons to unlock the doors. (I had no clue how they worked or how cool they were). It was nice to see that he knew what he was doing and could quickly show me features. It was not like he was figuring it out for the first time. He clearly knew what he was doing. I highly recommend these folks. As with any dealership, go in prepared and you are always better off. However, I felt like after being in their dealer for a while that the majority of their sales people have integrity and work out a fair deal for everyone. Thanks! More
NOT your "typical" car dealer First and Foremost, Chapman Ford is NOT the typical car dealer! I was ready to abandon my search for a new vehicle after having horrific experience First and Foremost, Chapman Ford is NOT the typical car dealer! I was ready to abandon my search for a new vehicle after having horrific experiences at several dealerships. As a last ditch effort I went on Yelp to see if ANY auto dealers in the Phoenix area had decent reviews. That is how I found Chapman Ford. I went there with a detailed list of what features I needed & which ones I just wanted (OK, I’m a nerd, it was a spreadsheet.) The staff there treated me with kindness & respect. They really worked to find the right truck for me. They never rushed me nor pressured me in any way. They worked hard to assure that I benefitted from every incentive offered by the factory. When I left, in my new truck, I knew that I had the PERFECT vehicle for me. Since the truck was missing one of my needed options they offered to have it installed for free. The part needed to be ordered & installed by a specialist. Tim Quintana continued his exceptional customer experience by arranging all of the details & keeping me updated regularly. I HIGHLY recommend Tim Quintana and all of the staff at Chapman Ford! More
