My spouse and I went to Nissan of New Braunfels today(12/13/2024) looking to purchase a new car. Quick recap of the experience: Pros: Nissan is a good brand reliable with a variety of vehicle options. I have personally owned 3 Nissans previously. The Nissan New Braunfels building looks new, beautiful and is well maintained. We were greeted by the receptionist when we arrived and met the online sales consultant we had spoken with earlier. We were quickly assigned a sales agent Allen., and were able to see the vehicle we were interested in. Cons: The vehicle price advertised on the Nissan New Braunfels Website was not offered to us. Nissan New Braunfels finance wanted to sell the vehicle at more than $2000 OVER MSRP. The finance officer price was more than $15,000 OVER the advertised price. When we told them about the price they asked what is the online price on THEIR website. Finance in a separate office with someone named Jake/Jack/Jason (would not give his name also would not clearly state a price to Allen) and did not want to directly speak to us, even though it was not busy on Friday morning at 10AM. Nissan New Braunfels did not want to honor Nissan authorized discounts that we were qualified for. Finance finally agreed to the price on their website but wanted to decrease my trade from the Kelley Blue Book value for my car by $5,000. This was ridiculous no logic or reason was given by Jack/ Jake/ Jason Jack/ Jake/ Jason (6ft tall white gentleman with white hair) told us that we did not need to know his name and to leave the dealership but didn’t want to say where our car was after they had checked it. Bottom Line Up Front: If you want to be disrespected, treated like a financial novice, overcharged and have your valuable time wasted this is your place- Nissan New Braunfels is waiting for you. Otherwise, there is Nissan of San Marcos, Gunn Nissan, Cavender Nissan, World Car Nissan, Ancira Nissan and more within 50 miles. More
Save your hard earned time and money and go to one of the Nissan dealerships down the road for a used vehicle! I found the car we wanted so called the New Braunfels advisor to verify price and ensure it woul Nissan dealerships down the road for a used vehicle! I found the car we wanted so called the New Braunfels advisor to verify price and ensure it would be available before a 2 hour drive there. After deciding to go forward with the purchase of a vehicle listed for 19k, we were then told about required charges that were not listed as part of the price. 19k turned into 25k due to the CPO and GPS additional required charges. This dealership is NOT transparent with their prices. Why even have a section to figure out your monthly payment if you're going to add these charges I have no idea about. Other Nissan dealerships do not do this. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT UP FRONT WITH THEIR PRICES! BEWARE!!!! More

I previously purchased a pathfinder at this dealership before. I am not a local buyer, I actually drove about 3 hours from home since we were able to do most of the negotiations over the phone and at that before. I am not a local buyer, I actually drove about 3 hours from home since we were able to do most of the negotiations over the phone and at that time they offered me a good deal. I'm actually interested in buying another vehicle so my wife called in a few weeks back and all they did was take her info and advised someone would return her call. They returned her phone call about a week later and just left her a voicemail asking if she was still interested in a vehicle. I called in today to inquire about vehicle and they transferred me to a sales rep. He told me it was available and of course asked me when I could come in to see it. I advised that I'm not local and would want to know more details about final price, any add-ons, and if I liked price then I would make the drive out there. He refused to give me any more info saying he would only provide me that information in person. He even acknowledged that he saw on system I had previously purchased from there before but that I still needed to go in person, that he couldn't provide any more info. Crazy, I wonder if it's just the sales rep i got or of if it's a new business practice......Not only does this seem kinda shady, but I guess customer service has gone out the door! More

Saw their add online for a 2024 Pathfinder. Follow all their instructions about incentives. When arrived at the dealership, I was told they would not honor the internet price and it was going t Follow all their instructions about incentives. When arrived at the dealership, I was told they would not honor the internet price and it was going to be $6000 more. I was told that incentives could not be combined, I asked them to show me in writing where it says that, they could not. Thay also stated had to purchase their addons which were over $5000 such a $1500 for window tint, even though the window sticker said it was factory installed. I was told i would have to bring back the vehicle at a later date to get the addons installed. I said I don't want them they sated it was their policy that they would not sell the vehicle without them. There was no addendum sticker on the vehicle when I test drove it. They attempted to add everything on after. I was told the manager worked hard at getting my 5% financing. lol with a credit score in the high 700s. The manager refused to negotiate on my trade wanting to cheat me out of thousands. They would not even honor there $750 discount code for going to the website. Do not go there they will rip you off!!!!!! I called Cavender in San Marcos as they had the same vehicle I was looking for. Cavender gave me all the incentives from Nissan, yes combining them. They got me the Nissan financing with 2.9% and even gave me lifetime oil changes and tire rotation for free!!!!!!!! Never will I go to Nissan of New Braunfels, and I will never let my friends or even enemies go there. They are a den of Thieves More
i had a poor experience with a different dealer who added over $4000 in hidden costs so when we got to Nissan of New Braunfels I specifically asked Keygan my assigned sale guy if their advertised price was t over $4000 in hidden costs so when we got to Nissan of New Braunfels I specifically asked Keygan my assigned sale guy if their advertised price was the final number or was there any hidden fees. He assured me on three occasions that the advertised price plus tax title and license was all I would need to pay. When we got waiting up the contract they told us there was an $800 GPS tracking device they added to the car and they couldn't remove it due to some clause in some contract so we needed to pay for it. They added $499 for not having a trade-in and $1000 for not financing. I decided to offer my car for trade and they offered me $3500 and I said I'd pay 50% cash and finance 50%. That should have eliminated the $499 add-on and the $1000 add-on. 10 minutes later the sales came back and said he could only do $2000 for the trade-in. This was my first time buying me own car and it certainly was stressful and uncomfortable. To make things worse, I had not owned the car for 1 hour when the check engine light came on .I contacted the dealership and they said because I had signed As Is for the car there was nothing they could do to help. I contacted the sales manager and he said he would talk to his director and ask if they could help at all. He came back and said they could diagnose the problem get me any required parts at their cost and get me a warranty that could potentially save me $2000.. I arranged to take the car back for the diagnostic check but the sales manager would not be there that day but not to worry he had given all the information to the service folks. Long story short they diagnosed it as a transmission issue (which I already knew) and that I needed a new transmission at $8000. That was all they could do for me. I never saw or heard from the sales manager even though I left him several messages. I took my car to a reputable transmission shop and they fixed the issue for $3000. Terrible, terrible experience. Will never set foot in that dealership again. More
