Brought my 2022 truck in for diagnostics due to a blown engine—unbelievable for a vehicle this new! Since it was out of warranty by mileage, I needed cost assistance from GM. Despite well-documented issues engine—unbelievable for a vehicle this new! Since it was out of warranty by mileage, I needed cost assistance from GM. Despite well-documented issues with this engine, they wanted to charge over $3k just to 'diagnose' the problem for GM. There should be a better program in place between the dealership and GM for cases like this. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel they were willing to help at all. More
Took my 2019 Silverado 2500HD Duramax to the dealership for a check engine light and low coolant light (coolant was not low). Quick scan showed injector #4 was bad, was told it would be a week before they for a check engine light and low coolant light (coolant was not low). Quick scan showed injector #4 was bad, was told it would be a week before they could get to it. Waited patiently for a call back from my maintenance rep with the full diagnosis and cost. Should be noted that I purchased an extended warranty through this dealership at time of purchase for 84mo/100,000 mile, vehicle is 5 years old with 64,000 miles. A week went by no call from service rep. So I called only to find out my rep was out sick and no one picked up his work load. They got on it only after I called and told me everything they found and that it was submitted to the extended warranty and was waiting on them to see if it was covered. According to the dealership the extended warranty would cover everything except a discrepancy in 2 hours labor the dealership said it took longer to install one of the parts than the extended warranty covered. They told me I would owe $585 out of pocket. I told them I didn’t agree with this but to fix the truck because it had to be done. The extended warranty that the dealership sold me specifically says there would be $100 deductible that is it. Nothing about installation cost that could differ. This is not a third party warranty that I went out and bought in my own, this was purchased from the dealership. When I showed up to get my truck they had lowered the out of pocket to $409 removing some of the labor, like they were doing me a favor! In fact it is my opinion they were gouging me for labor I should have never been charged for, but at this point what can I do. They sold me a warranty under false pretenses, failed to honor it, service and communication is poor at best. This is the second time I have taken my truck for service and the service rep goes absent and the service on my vehicle is delayed because no one picks up their slack. One of the items found to be faulty was something I told them about 5 years ago (coolant tank) and was told it was replaced and fixed only to find out that was a lie, nothing was replaced or fixed. Not happy with this dealership and will likely never do business with them again! More
