Most need training I don't know who oversees the service dept and don't care now. I live 10 miles from Chalmersford, but have driven twice to other dealers, once to Power and once to Rich ford because the service staff were clueless to my need. I took off a wiper arm into to prevent damaging it while applying a coating to my windshield. A little tiny set pin fell off my wiper arm into the engine compartment that held in place The arm. Ford does not have a part for this little item. I go into the service area and they tell me 90 bucks to find the little part that's in the cowel area. I say, since ford doesn't have a part listed, why does this little part fall off? The lady at the service desk says, "why did you take off the wiper arm?". What? Are you serious? What kind of dumb question was that?. I had to pay 19 bucks for a wiper arm instead of 30 cents for a little tiny metal pin that according to ford, doesn't exist. The point is, this service advisor offered no other solution to issue than taking the cowel off for 90 bucks labor. In two other instances, I fill out a service request on their website and no one contacted me. So, I go to another dealer.to get service in both instances. The last issue was today. I go in for service at quick lane. They say it will take an hour and a half. We write up the service. They tell me they'll call my name and if I'm not here, I'll go to the back of the line. I come back in one hour and 4 minutes and they tell me I was called, wasn't here and I'm in the back of the line again and another hour or more. We've bought cars there, my wife gets service there but I'm not going back to Chalmersford for any other need. Why have a website that asks for your info and not monitor the fact that people are wanting to give you money? More

Poor scheduling and slow service Bought my 2012 Focus new from Don Chalmers - dealership is closest one to my home. Every time I have a service appointment something goes wrong. Wrong phone number (I asked to have this corrected on several occasions), wrong time, didn't have the parts, had the parts but forgot to call, etc. Oh the work is fine once completed - it's the timing and communication and scheduling. Last straw was oil change a few days ago. Made an appt for this 7am- showed up early - was told "worst case" it would be done by 8:30 (which is still way too long for just an oil change). Saw people come in after - leave. Asked for status at 8:25 - they had not even started on my car yet. Advisor gave me excuses: high volume, not enough lube techs, etc. Once they got started it took less than 30 minutes. I could have gone next door to Jiffy Lube and had the work completed and been on my way by 7:30. Only the fact that I have a maintenance agreement makes me go to Don Chalmers for service - and I may try Rich Ford next time! As soon as the agreement expires I'm never going back. More
He wows me every time! I recently bought my 2nd car from Glen and the excellent staff at Don Chalmers. There is a closer Ford dealer to my home but after my first car buying I recently bought my 2nd car from Glen and the excellent staff at Don Chalmers. There is a closer Ford dealer to my home but after my first car buying experience I thought I'd return. I'm glad I did. Glen goes above and beyond to make sure you get the vehicle you want and the finance team is amazing. I thought it was going to be months to find the specific vehicle I wanted but it only took hours. Glen recognizes that relationship is important and maintains it to ensure that his customers are satisfied, even after the sale. Great car buying experience! More
Stranded in ABQ... Fast and Efficient While visiting in Albuquerque, driving on the freeway, my Car decided to lose all throttle power. after getting off the highway I was able to stop and While visiting in Albuquerque, driving on the freeway, my Car decided to lose all throttle power. after getting off the highway I was able to stop and re-start vehicle and re-gain throttle power. With the Check Engine light on, I drove to Don Chalmers Ford Service Dept.... and with the Help of Trent Durham, he was able to get my Car back to the service dept right away. He also got us a ride over to the Mall so that we did not have to sit in the service dept. Service dept was able to fix the car right away, in under an hour. didn't really get to shop... but I was very thankful that they were so Fast and Efficient. Trent Durham was very professional, and considerate to our predicament. THANKS Trent.... even though you are not a Seahawks fan...lol. More

I truly believe that it was because the commission is not high enough to bother waiting on me. If I was looking at a F-350 it would have been different. I have purchased 4 autos in the last 15 years at Chalmers and will now visit the Albuquerque dealers, maybe they will appreciate my business. Terrible customer service. More
