I traded in my vehicle at Cerritos Mitsubishi over a month ago, and the dealership has still not paid off the loan on my trade-in. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received confirmation that the month ago, and the dealership has still not paid off the loan on my trade-in. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received confirmation that the payoff has been sent to my lender. It does not take a month to process a trade-in payoff. Under California Vehicle Code §11709.4, licensed dealers are required to submit payment to the lienholder within 21 calendar days of accepting a trade-in. This is a legal obligation, not an optional courtesy. This ongoing delay has caused unnecessary stress and potential harm to my credit, as I am still being held responsible for payments on a vehicle that the dealership accepted weeks ago. Buyer beware — no dealership should leave a customer in this position after completing a trade-in. Also to echo another reviewer, and added "security" something or other was added onto the contract for $1600!! After raising my voice HALF of that was knocked off at least. More
I purchased a 2018 Toyota Prius from Cerritos Mitsubishi in August 2025, and my experience has been very disappointing. I went to the dealership on August 31, 2025, and signed a cancellation form for a $3,9 in August 2025, and my experience has been very disappointing. I went to the dealership on August 31, 2025, and signed a cancellation form for a $3,900 Vehicle Service Contract. I also sent two certified letters to confirm the cancellation, but as of now, my financing company (Santander) has not received the refund, and no one from the dealership has contacted me or replied to my messages. I’ve called, emailed, and even texted the sales agent and finance department multiple times with no response. This lack of communication and accountability is completely unacceptable for a licensed California dealership. I have filed a complaint with State of California and BBB. I am now preparing to file formal complaints with the California DMV Occupational Licensing Division, the California Department of Consumer Affairs, and the Federal Trade Commission if this continues to be ignored. Buyers should be very cautious when signing contracts here — make sure you fully review every add-on and warranty before agreeing to anything. Transparency and follow-up from this dealership have been extremely poor in my experience. More
We live about 2 hours away, so before we left we called ahead to see if it was still available. So, we got on the road, with traffic it took about 3 hours to get there, and when we do get there the car isn ahead to see if it was still available. So, we got on the road, with traffic it took about 3 hours to get there, and when we do get there the car isn't even ready. In fact, it hasn't even been inspected, smogged, or even detailed. So they said they'd give me a call when it was ready. When they called me back I went back to check it out it still hadn't been detailed or smogged, and it still needed an alignment. I would never go back to this dealership, and I don't recommend it for anyone else. More
Horrible experience! Their salesman made lots of promises over the phone, regarding a truck they had listed on autotrader. We drove 100 miles to purchase the truck they had listed and we got to the dealershi over the phone, regarding a truck they had listed on autotrader. We drove 100 miles to purchase the truck they had listed and we got to the dealership, they refused to honor anything that was promised to us over the phone. Basically their salesman told us whatever we wanted to hear over the phone, just so he could get us into their dealership and hope we would still make a purchase even though his promises would not he honored. We wil never again, even consider doing business with this dealedship! More
