Other BMW dealers behave like they are doing you a great big favor by coming outside to help you and answer your questions - and I mean every dealership I went to (Bob Smith, Rusnak, Center, Steve Thomas, Beverly Hills, etc.) acted this way. I highly recommend this dealership, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had purchasing a vehicle! More
The employees seem friendly up front, but their behaviors are driven primarily by profit and making lots of money. There is little to no focus on customer service. are driven primarily by profit and making lots of money. There is little to no focus on customer service. More
Ripoff and bait and switch. Car leased. At end of Ripoff and bait and switch. Car leased. At end of lease, received letter and called. Never responded. Complained and handed to Sales Manager Johnny Ripoff and bait and switch. Car leased. At end of lease, received letter and called. Never responded. Complained and handed to Sales Manager Johnny A. who proposed a deal in writing, just "needed a safety and smog inspection." Despite being a Certified car when leased, said had to pay $1,500 for another certification or would bump interest rate by 2 points (already up almost 2 from what Johnny originally proposed). This is classic bait and switch. Taking legal action. On top of that, wife hit pothole, tire pressure down. Conned her into 2 new tires and a wheel. Did a similar thing a second time. 2 inch scratch on rear quarter panel, gave her a $1,300 quote. I'll get it done for $100. Really a classic ripoff organization. More
let me start off by saying that my experience with this dealership has persuaded me not to buy a new bmw m3. thats how bad their customer service is. they are rude, unapologetic, abrasive and all around xx dealership has persuaded me not to buy a new bmw m3. thats how bad their customer service is. they are rude, unapologetic, abrasive and all around xxxxxxx. dont shop here, they are jerks. i went from being 100000% sure about buying a m3 to really rethinking about buying a bmw m3. i wanted to get a good price on a silverstone m3, but this is the only dealership with a silverstone m3 that is priced below 70 grand in so cal. since this is no longer an available option, i probably will wait for the new m3 to come out (fat chance, im not going to wait 4 years) or just buy a porsche. i will probably just buy the porsche. i get way better customer service. what happened was I found a m3 online for just under 65,000. thats a good deal if you are unfamiliar with m3s. the coupe was fully loaded, in the color i wanted (silverstone ext, but i didnt like the black leather int), and had the double clutch transmission. thats hard to find in so cal. you would think that bmw would have more silver m3s lying around, but they are actually few and far in between. the only thing wrong with the car is that it is a 2010, and they released 2011 and 2011.5 models out already. since i knew the price online was 65000, i wanted to call and confirm the price before i come in and check out the car. i cannot believe the kind of service from these people. i get better service from walmart. i would suggest to RUN as far away as you can from this bs dealership. they are rude and do not deserve your business. what happened was i called the dealership and spoke to a CA, Mark. i asked if he had any m3s in stock. he said yah. what are you looking for Me: im open to the coupe sedan and convt Mark:(rudely) oh, you have to be more specific. i cant help you if you dont tell me what you want Me: ok, i will not buy a white or black m3. i need sporty color for a sporty car. i want a silverstone m3 and a double clutch with the alarm. i dont any aftermarket carbon fiber because it inflates the cost. id like something that is more affordable and economical (whoops, i miss used that word. my bad, it happens when you are talking over the phone.) Mark: ok, well, we do have a couple of colors. i have a m3 in white, one in black, and one in silverstone. (condescending tone) let me ask you something, i dont understand what you meant by economical. the m3 is not economical. if you are looking for economical, maybe you should look at different cars. Me: i know the m3 isnt cheap. sorry, i used the wrong word. to be frank, i want a m3 that is cheap. i want to get the lowest price possible on the m3, but i assure you, the m3 is within my budget. and, i must say, you you have a rude tone. Mark: (laughs) no i dont. Me: yes you are. you are being rude to me. Mark: SO! At that point, I flipped out and sunk to his level, shouted some expletives and reminded him that just because you work for bmw, does not mean he has class. i was pissed. then i called again, and asked to speak to the internet manager because mark was being a xxxxxx and they told me he would call me back. i waited 5 hours later and i had to call him back. he acted like he didnt know that i was pissed and did not apologize and pretended like he didnt know that he was supposed to call me back. wow, rude customer service. again, i am no longer in the market for the current m3 model because of their rude customer service. I was so excited to take my m3 in for 1200mi service. I sat down with the SA and asked what takes place during the 1200mi? The SA said the engine oil, transmission, and differential, as stated in the manua sat down with the SA and asked what takes place during the 1200mi? The SA said the engine oil, transmission, and differential, as stated in the manual. I also requested for the car not to be washed. 4 hours later as promised, he calls me to let me know that my car is ready for pickup. And just to confirm I asked him if all 3 fluids were changed? He said yes. I go in a few hours later and as I'm looking over the the invoice i notice that only the engine oil was performed. I ask to speak with my SA but he already left for the day so I end up asking his partner (SA2) if all 3 fluids were changed and if so, why it's not stated on the invoice. He calls the technician that worked on my car (who also left for the day) and asks if the tranny and diff fluid was changed. The tech says that only the smg needs to be changed, not the 6speed. So the SA2 asks him "was there a bulletin for this? because the customer is saying that its in the manual." And the tech apparently said yes. I then ask the SA2, so the manual is wrong?! And he says that during a certain production period it changed and I must have gotten an outdated manual. (my car is only a month old and in its 2nd year of production, the manual is not outdated nor wrong) I then politely ask if I can get a copy of this service bulletin. He says he will get it and send it to me. There was nothing more I could do at that point so I got in my car and left. Not to mention the car was washed, not very well in my opinion, a dark smudge on my seat, and I find the paper floor mat along with the paper tag that goes on the key ring crumpled up and thrown on my passenger floor. If someone is going to pick it up and crumple it up, might as well take it out and throw it away. Not trash it on my floor. Just as I exited the dealer I pulled over to the curb to use my phone and check oil status to see if the oil was at the correct level. I get a warning! oil level too high! contact my bmw center. I go back the SA2 and he has this annoyed look when he sees me coming towards him again. I tell him oil is too high, he then checks it and tries to explain that it's probably a faulty sensor and that I'm going to have to leave it overnight because everyone's gone. As I'm in his office waiting for him to write up the paper work another SA that sits next to him is trying to find the "service bulletin" on his computer about not changing the tranny or diff fluids for a 6mt. (they will never find it, I contacted BMW NA couple days later and they confirmed it doesn't exist) Next day- SA2 calls me to let me know car is ready. I asked was all 3 fluids changed and he said yes. I go to pick up my car and i look over the invoice and it states engine oil refilled to correct level AND trans fluid changed! I guess they never found that service bulletin. But Diff fluid wasn't stated on the invoice so I don't know if that was changed. Not only do they lie about changing required fluids but they make up a story saying there's a service bulletin that states that it does not need to be changed. They only put in the trans fluid after they screwed up with the over fill on engine oil and knew I was waiting to see the so called "service bulletin" More
Tried to purchase a CPO 5 series...after a couple very, very pleasant conversations-they called me in follow up. I was about to purchase the car and during the conversation I was unleashed on. He told me very pleasant conversations-they called me in follow up. I was about to purchase the car and during the conversation I was unleashed on. He told me how well he knew his business, how many cars he had sold last month, whatever someone else had told me was wrong and they do not know what they are talking about, etc.. and hung up the phone on me. My other half was sitting with me a my desk during this, looked at me and said "my gosh, what was that all about?". I can only guess he apparently was just having a bad day and decided I was to be vented on. Glad I found out BEFORE I purchased (as I was literally just about to buy the car!). We prefer doing business with friendly people and something had him really riled up and I did not appreciate that treatment. That type SALES approach is odd to me. We did purchase elsewhere and are very happy. Still unclear as to why I was treated that way. More
SO I've taken may car there for the last 4 time to get various services done including the normal 15k services in which I just had 2 months ago. I drive only 700 miles a month so not much ware and tare o various services done including the normal 15k services in which I just had 2 months ago. I drive only 700 miles a month so not much ware and tare on my BMW. On the last service the did all the normal (or least I was told they did) oil, change, brake service even changing 6+ hoses. They even recommend a fuel flush to clean out all my injectors and fuel system in which I agreed to in the end the service all ran over $1500. No problem, cars need maintenance I understand things go bad and need to get get tuned to work. Well I just went back to them today because my "Engine Needs service soon" light went on on a trip back from AZ. Well the service manager called me a little while later and went over the list of things that needed to be replaced/fixed/repaired including a computer reset. I realized that it sounded just like what I just had done in 2 months prior he even mentioned getting the fuel flush. And when I called him on that he just said "Oh well you're right, then let me take those things off the list and now you owe..." WHAT? So I'm just having them take care of the computer rest and I'm and I am no longer going to Century West BMW ever again! And I highly recommend that if you have them list everything that they do and get everything in writing. More
Wow. Have leased several cars from these guys with no problems and the service department is absolutely fantastic. Had a major misunderstanding on a lease, wasted my time and they more or less made me fe problems and the service department is absolutely fantastic. Had a major misunderstanding on a lease, wasted my time and they more or less made me feel like it was my fault when it was clearly all theirs. Bad communication, horrible treatment and no ability to right wrongs. if you want to get treated like a number or I should say "unit" then go here. BMW should be ashamed of the GM running this operation, total jokers. More
I have purchased 2 cars over the last 5 years. I was quite happy until very recently. (10/22/08). I took my car to a tire dealership to replace my tires at which time I was informed that the key provide quite happy until very recently. (10/22/08). I took my car to a tire dealership to replace my tires at which time I was informed that the key provided for the wheel lock did not fit. (No big deal, so I thought) I called the dealership, which was right down the street and was told I needed to DRIVE in and make an appointment. Long story short, I had my tires replaced; went to the dealership, and they questioned me as to why the key to the lock nut that was in the trunk did not fit the lock nut on the wheel, to which I responded (on more than 1 occasion "you tell me, I purchased the car here") I was told they would need to get an OK from a service manager. FINE!! At this point, I really am furious becoause I spent a lot of time at both the tire shop and at the BMW dealer. I then get my car back with the STATEMENT on my service statement saying "client states no wheel lock was found when replacing the tires...wrong key supplied." WHAT A LIE!!!! Was anyone listening?!!!! I clearly and emphatically stated that the wrong key was supplied. The resolution statement on their behalf was "INSTALL NEW LOCK SET< OK AS ONE TIME GOODWILL PER ***** ******" I am not a charity case and I don't care about the price of the lock set, but don't call ME a liar and don't treat me like a charity case when they are getting their money. Last time client, EVER!!! What a BIG LETDOWN BWM!!! More
