I gave this dealer a 5 star overall rating as I never had service like this before. I have leased many of cars over my life time. I have leased nothing but Luxury cars till I stopped in at Mid Island Hyundai service like this before. I have leased many of cars over my life time. I have leased nothing but Luxury cars till I stopped in at Mid Island Hyundai just to see the Hyundai Gensis R-SPEC. Mike gave me his undivied attention the whole time I was thier showed me everything about the gensis which made me fall in love with the car. It drove nicer then my current Lexus and it had more goodies then what i had currently. I was apprehensive at first but after showing me the car and test driving it I was hooked. Mike Elder AKA " EDLER" blew me out of the water on what I could save and still get everthing the lexus offered and more. I would highly recommend this dealer and the HYUNDAI Product. I drove my new GENSIS home that day and now I'm a HYUNDAI OWNER FOR LIFE. Just give it a try and you won't be disappointed. More

I am copying the letter I sent to the dealership after I bought my car: I am writing to thank you and your excellent staff for such a wonderful and positive experience in purchasing my new Veloster, my f bought my car: I am writing to thank you and your excellent staff for such a wonderful and positive experience in purchasing my new Veloster, my first Hyundai (I was previously a Honda girl), and my first brand new car! I live in MA, and after seeing a Veloster on the freeway, reading about it, and test driving some here in MA, I decided I wanted one, but it had to be the manual transmission, and it had to be fully loaded. I had been searching AutoTrader every day for this rare find, and finally one popped up in your lot. I called your dealership and spoke with Paul Watts who allowed me to place the deposit and get the ball rolling. I explained the difficult logistics of getting the car registered in MA, and that I wanted to pay MA taxes, and he and Mike Doyle were very accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure that all these needs were met. They got me an outstanding rate on a loan, and spent an immense amount of time with me on the phone. They were a pleasure to work with and made the process go as smoothly as it possibly could. The paperwork was fed-exed to me and Mike Doyle patiently went over every number with me over the phone. I think I probably spoke on the phone with Paul or Mike at least 20 times in the first few days. They answered every question and were very kind. When Paul went on vacation, both he and Mike called me to let me know that Stefan would be my new contact person. Stefan called me too, to arrange to pick me up at the ferry when I came to pick up my car. He even offered to bring coffee or food for me! When he picked me up at the ferry he gave me a bouquet of balloons! It made what was a very big occasion for me feel extremely special and festive and made me feel like the only customer. Mike again went over each paper with me in person and congratulated me, and Stefan spent a good amount of time showing me how to use all the features of my new car, as well as making sure it was polished and beautiful! I was cared for well beyond any expectations, and would recommend your dealership to any and all of my family and friends! I'm so impressed with the service I received, and I know it was not an easy transaction due to my request to register it out of state. I would gladly go through it all again if I were buying another car, and I'd rather buy a car from you than any of the local Hyuundai dealerships I went to here in MA! From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone who helped put me in my new beautiful Vitamin C Veloster! More
My experience at Mid Island Hyundai was wonderful, I have bought alot of cars in my lifetime and dealt with many dealerships, this place by far was my best experience! I did alot of research online and prett bought alot of cars in my lifetime and dealt with many dealerships, this place by far was my best experience! I did alot of research online and pretty much knew what i wanted before I came in. When I first walked in I was greated by a very nice man named Mike Elder, he showed me a few sonatas in different colors, we took a nice test drive, and i was very impressed. After working out the numbers on a lease i told Mike that i still wanted to look at the camry, i could tell he understood how i felt, he didn't pressure me. He said his manager would want to thank me for coming in, so then Bill Mackay came over, a very good looking man! he introduced himself and we began talking about the sonata. After about 5 minutes of talking with Bill, i realized that i loved this car and there was no need to wait. He made me an amazing deal and i drove away that same day. It was one of the easiest car buying experiences in my life. Thanks to Mid Island Hyundai More
Beware!!, Bait And Switch!!, Avoid the Used Car Salesmen!! Salesman Nigel Henrey and the manager Rob tried to bait and switch. Salesman quoted price, later recanted, Manager said he never gave Salesmen!! Salesman Nigel Henrey and the manager Rob tried to bait and switch. Salesman quoted price, later recanted, Manager said he never gave that authority and the salesman played dumb. Old tricks, but wasted our time. This place is to the left of the big Hyundai building across McDonalds. The trailer where they sell pre owned vehicles. Do not enter if you value you re time. This place is run by NY Auto Giant, They have a really BAD REPUTAION when it comes to used cars, Don t believe me? Read for yourself? Google Atlantic Hyundai, Atlantic Nissan, etc, all the same company Atlantic/NY Auto Giant salesman are known to keep you for long periods of time, changing the offer, offering you less for trade ins, or charging you more for you re new purchases. I was only here to help my mother not to get ripped off, and I m glad I did. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Nigel Henry, and Rob the manager. Wasted my time, and Lied. AVOID!!! More
My experience with Mid-Island was horrible. I purchased a used vehicle from them and before I picked it up it would not start. I was told that it was the battery and that a new one would be put in before a used vehicle from them and before I picked it up it would not start. I was told that it was the battery and that a new one would be put in before I picked it up. I went to picke up the car and it started. I asked Sandy if the new battery was in and he assured me it was. Two weeks later my car was dead and had to be towed back to Mid-Island. I called Sandy that day and he said it sounded like the battery. I reminded him that it had been replaced and he said that I was right he did have it replaced and that something else was probably wrong. I told him I needed a ride to and from work since I was without a car and he said there would be no problem that the shuttle would take me. The service dartment called and said it was the battery, I said that was impossible because it was replaced. They said it never was then to top it off, I was left stranded at work because they had no one to come get me. I just thank God it was not the brakes that were suppose to be replaced. Sandy never even bothered to call me to see how things were and my letter of complaint to the GM was never responded to as well. They have the worst customer service and once they close the deal they do not care about their customers. More

I worked with sales rep Will Aron at Mid Island Hyundai. He committed to provide me a very aggressive price on a 2012 Sonata (in July 2011, no less) and was able to do so once I arrived in person at Mid Isl He committed to provide me a very aggressive price on a 2012 Sonata (in July 2011, no less) and was able to do so once I arrived in person at Mid Island Hyundai. Will introduced me to his GM, Jaime Murphy, who was amenable to supporting Will, by granting approval on the aggressive price discount and provided me with a very fair trade in value on my used car. Once we agreed on the price of the new car and trade in value of my old car, I worked with Chris to obtain financing for the car. Given my very good credit rating, Chris was able to obtain financing at a much better rate from third party bank than the rate Hyundai was offering its customers directly. This team was very straight forward in what they could and could not do on the deal. They were very interested in earning my business, despite my high demands. I could not have been more pleased driving off the lot with my fantastic new Hyundai. 3 days later, I'm still boyishly gushing about the great deal Will, Jaime, and Chris provided me. I give them a strong recommendation. I would buy from them again. More
Seeing the previous reviews for this dealership I thought it only fair to add a very different viewpoint. I will start by saying that I hate few things more then buying a new car and I have owned a large num it only fair to add a very different viewpoint. I will start by saying that I hate few things more then buying a new car and I have owned a large number of cars in my lifetime. I love cars but hate the buying process. I am usually left wondering if I really got a "fair deal". My wife and I visited several dealerships and Mid Island Hyundai was great. The showroom was clean, bright and comfortable. Our salesman Anthony was courteous, knowledgeable, presented himself well and enthusiastic rather then pushy/aggressive. We took a test drive, all our questions were fully answered and then we sat down to discuss price. After some back and forth that was something more like a discussion between friends we had a price for the new car we wanted including our trade-in. The price was very good and better then any we had yet gotten. It was good enough that we bought the car on the spot. I don't doubt that maybe someone else could have done even better yet but such is the car buying process and we are very happy with what we paid. Anthony saw to it that the car was prepped and delivered promptly, the after sale person Chris was a gentleman and didn't try to "ram" anything down our throats. The dealership has since contacted us at several levels to ensure our satisfaction and I complement them all. Now I only hope the car, which so far is a joy, works out as well as the purchase process did. More
Bunch of professional cheaters. They seem to negotiate when bargaining the price but would try to squeeze as much out of you when they write the contract (sale agreement). They silently bump up the AR when bargaining the price but would try to squeeze as much out of you when they write the contract (sale agreement). They silently bump up the ARP on the loan OR FORCE you to buy additional options/warrenties. The Business Manager seemed very disappointed when I declined to buy any more options. Also the price they write into the agreement is not what I had negotiated. When I realized this and went back to the dealership to review the initial buyer's agreement, that I signed before the final agreement, they refuse to show me that saying they don't have it any more. Never would go back to the dealership OR would recommend to anyone. But if you have to please read the final agreements multiple times before signing them. They can confuse you with Numbers. More
