My 2000 Ford Explorer seemed like it was gonna go and given my new job I felt it was time for a new car. I think I was a bit of an easy sell, I didn't exactly know what kind of car I wanted and things li given my new job I felt it was time for a new car. I think I was a bit of an easy sell, I didn't exactly know what kind of car I wanted and things like cost and gas mileage weren't really an issue for me as long as the payments weren't astronomical. While I was looking for something like the Genesis Coupe and the Azera as well, while I could afford them Will kept pushing for the Sonota and I think that's a good thing. Throughout the process he explained everything extremely well from the bluetooth feature right down to the key battery charger. I felt like there were things he told me about the car that I think other dealers would've been more then happy to just hand me the keys and send me on my way. The cars basically sell themselves as long as you somewhat know what you want. But the service here for my buying experience was excellent and I'd refer anyone who's in the market to this dealership. More
Jimmy was very patient with us. We came in about a promotion post card we had received. We had owned an Elantra and had upgraded to a Santa Fe back in 2001. We also owned a 2003 Nissan Murano. We were sort of in the Market for new cars and had talked about buying new ones for months. Jimmy was the perfect man for the job. He listened asked questions and let us look at different cars until we found what we wanted. One car for traveling with lots of stuff and a roof rack. And one car that had great gas mileage. A Santa Fe trade for a Santa Fe and Trading the big Murano for a smart Elantra. He had it tough with me cause I was a pain with the colors. But he was patient and showed me options and we met in the middle. He was terrific. Jeffrey was great too. He did the finances. Again, I'm not the easiest fit but he made it work and my mom and I couldn't be happier. It was tough especially since the Murano was my Dad's car. He passed in 2009. So, it was like saying goodbye to my Dad at the same time. But the men were so warm and thoughtful that honestly until I started driving home did I realize that I felt like I had just left my dad's car back in Center Reach with some friends instead of feeling sad. Which says a lot for the relationship building portion of the job that these two gentlemen did. Great job all around. I would highly recommend Mid-Island Hyundai but I would Highly recommend both these gentlemen to take care of my friends if they were in the market to purchase a vehicle. More
Will made us comfortable when purchasing our new 2013 Sonata. He was very knowledgable in all the options Hyundai offered on its vehicles. My experience with Anthony and Mid-Island Hyundai was great. I had somewhat of a unique situation and Anthony helped in every way possible which allowed me to leave with a brand new 2013 Hyundai Elantra great. I just love the car and now I feel safe when I am out there friving. I previously owned an Elantra for 10 years and would recommend this car and Mid Island Hyundai and Anthony to anyone. As to sales department. I leased my 2011 Sonata from Atlantic Hyundai, now I remember why. I live in Islandia and Mid-Island is closer but when I went to buy/lease my vehicle I was not happy to find ou Atlantic Hyundai, now I remember why. I live in Islandia and Mid-Island is closer but when I went to buy/lease my vehicle I was not happy to find out the selection was less than expected. As to service, my check engine light was on and the car seemed to be hesitating. I made an appointment to bring the car in the following week. A day or two went by and on my way to work my car was really acting hesitant, I was afraid something was really wrong. Being I work right next store to a Meinike I left it with them to check the reason. They said it was something to do with the transmission (under warranty) , printed the service report for me and included codes. I went to the dealer the next day and was told that because the codes were clear it could not be serviced, until the engine light went back on and was stored in the vehicle so the computer at the dealership could read it. I was told to come back when it came back on and that I DID NOT need an appointment. I was also told it would take 15 minutes to diagnose. I went to the service department on 7/9/12 = 10:30 am & was told I could wait. I explained I had to go to work later in the day @ 3:00 pm. I was told I would be taken care of next. Being that I did not have an appointment I could understand the 1 hour wait for them to pull the car onto the lift. Then after another hour, I asked what was the problem, and I was given a vague answer. The service advisor said that he could have a ride arranged, but when I told him I needed to go the Islip, he said I could wait. I asked numerous times if I should come back another day because I needed to be at work at 3:00 pm. I was re-assured they would check to see if the part was in stock, 25 minutes later I inquired again, yes the part was in stock and it would take about 30 minutes to repair. I gave them my cell # as I needed to get something to eat and asked them to call me when the car was ready. I was told it would be worked on immediately and I would be out before 2:15. I never received a call and walked back to Hyundai. My car was still on the lift and was still being worked on. I expressed my dismay as I had to be at the job appointment by 3:00 and I still had to go home, change and get documents before driving to East Islip. By 3:00 pm, I was now getting frustrated, angry, etc. Had I know the amount of time this service would take I would have come back another day. The service was the worst experience I have had at this dealership. I will never return. I will never purchase anything from them again, so please do not send me coupons, promotions, etc. I give this service/dealership a thumbs down. More
My experience with Mid Island Hyundai was a very pleasant one. Upon arriving their I was extremely nervous because I wasn't sure if I would qualify for a new car. The salesman Anthony Hili was very understan one. Upon arriving their I was extremely nervous because I wasn't sure if I would qualify for a new car. The salesman Anthony Hili was very understanding of my situation and took the time to see what I was qualified for, made me feel very comfortable and found a deal that was perfect for me. I was able to leave that day with a brand new Elantra. Anthony was professional and very thorough in explaining everything to me about the car right down to setting up my bluetooth. I would highly recommend this dealership and Anthony to anyone I know. More
