Had an appointment for 8:30 am , sat there for 2 and 1/2 hours before they took it in . Waiting 15 minutes wouldn’t be bad , but 2 1/2 hours for 15 minutes of work ? What’s the purpose of making n appointme hours before they took it in . Waiting 15 minutes wouldn’t be bad , but 2 1/2 hours for 15 minutes of work ? What’s the purpose of making n appointment ? More
Had my Suburban towed to Cavender in Weimer, at my expense, because I knew that I could 100% trust the Service Dept at Cavender to not only do the work RIGHT, but to give me honest advice about my opt expense, because I knew that I could 100% trust the Service Dept at Cavender to not only do the work RIGHT, but to give me honest advice about my options. Took four times for the dealership to finally repair my 2021 Chevy Colorado since December 2023. They just did the last repair February 2024. Sloppy work and incompetent. I always had to reach out to them to check on the status of my repairs. It’s like they just don’t care. I finally had to get GM Customer Care involved to get things moving. Every time I got my truck out of the shop the sales department would call immediately wanting to know if I wanted to trade my vehicle in. It seemed a little fishy to me. I bought my truck from this dealership along with the maintenance package and extended warranty. The warranty did not even cover the repairs, is what they told me so I had to pay out of pocket. This dealership makes a lot of promises when they are trying to make the sale and fails to carry through. This dealership is all about the sales and hype, period. I would not recommend buying or getting you vehicle serviced at this dealership. More
Truck brought in for service on 26Nov for leaking oil lines. I informed service rep (Chad) that if at all possible I would need the vehicle in a few days and if it would be possible to get a loaner vehic lines. I informed service rep (Chad) that if at all possible I would need the vehicle in a few days and if it would be possible to get a loaner vehicle and informed that was not possible but the truck should be done in a few days. Contacted dealer 1.5 days later, informed that they had not begun work on it, informed service rep that I needed the vehicle on the 11th for an out of town trip. Service rep informed me that “If you need your truck that bad, you are welcome to come and get it.” I informed rep that the truck was there because it couldn’t hold oil and is he telling me to drive it without oil ? Rep deferred to answer. I contacted service days for an update on truck and extended warranty situation, Rep informed me that the dealership was having “technical problems “ and he couldn’t contact extended warranty company. I informed rep again about upcoming need for vehicle on 11Dec and if there was any update on loaner or rental vehicle, none available per rep. On 10 Dec, i contacted rep again for update on vehicle and extended warranty, no updates. Rep stated,” I will just get you a rental car, there should be several locations near you. I informed rep that there are none in my area. Rep responded “I thought you lived in the Houston area.” I informed rep that all my contact information and warranty shows living in Schulenburg, 6 miles from dealership. Rep informed me that the rental car will be located in Katy, Tx approx 75 miles from residence. Rep informed me that the dealership did not have the resources to take me to the rental location. I left the next morning to get the rental car but before living I contacted the rep to verify the rental . Rep informed me that the rental was available and that he had just received word that the leaking oil lines were not covered under the warranty. I drove the hour to Katy location to find out there no vehicle available and the rental contract was not valid as the credit card holder was not present. Rep was contacted and asked me if i could rent the vehicle and then be reimbursed, I informed the rep that this was not possible. Rep then asked if i had a Cash app account and he would send me the money. Rep called me back to state that something was wrong with his card and it was being rejected. At this point the Enterprise agent became involved and informed Rep that normally the dealer would have a rental contract signed and information then emailed to Enterprise. After 2+ hours, the rental was approved. I picked the vehicle up upon returning on 15 December 2023 and went inside the dealership to speak with the general manager (Jim Sanders) who apologized for the series of poor service and communication from the service representative. The GM asked me if any of the $1400 bill was covered by the warranty, I informed him that none was covered and I paid the bill in full. GM stated,” Well let me see if there is anything that we can do for you and this situation.” I attempted to contact Mr Sanders @ the dealership on Monday the 18th of December and led him a voicemail. I have not heard anything in response and nor do I expect to. After purchasing several vehicles through Cavender in Weimar, Texas in the last few years, I will never use them again for sales or service. I will go out of my way to inform others of their business practices and customer service. More
