I have been a customer at Fox Valley VW for approximately the last 4 years. It was with great reluctance I drove into Fox Valley VW to search out one more internet deal. Surprisingly while I searched the car lot I found the advertised vehicle. More surprising no sales person jumped on me as I sized up the vehicle. I thought to myself it's 7pm on a Thursday night they must be ready to close or the pitch would have started. After sizing up the car (which was better than I had envisioned). I walked into the dealership,a place which in the last few weeks had been quite dissapointing. Upon entering I was met by Greg Kostelny who introduced himself and asked if he could be of help. We talked about the car I was interested in and he was very knowledgable of my selection even though it was a used vehicle by another car maker and not a VW. After test driving the vehicle I explained that my wife would have to see the car and asked if I could leave a deposit to hold the car and that we would return the next day. Greg suggested that I could take the car home, let my wife test drive it, and even have my mechanic check it over. We did just that and returned to discuss the deal the next afternoon. We very easily reached agreement on trade in value, purchase price, extended warranty and the dealer also threw in free lifetime car washes and a paint protection program for three years. It was painless. The finance manager Jim Convalle added to the good times by not only explaining the extended warranty program to us completely but he was also able to offer the plan we wanted with a lower deductible at no extra charge. I have to admit that at no time during the negotiations did me or my wife feel pressured. We had some differences with trade in value and pricing ( my wife was hoping to haggle ) but they were negotiated with respectability and fairness. All in all a very nice experience. I felt like I was dealing with friends and not adversaries. When my son needs a car I know where we will be looking. Gary & Nancy . More

I have to say that this was, by far, the best experience I have ever had buying a car. I admit, I went in with some concerns and fears due to my previous experiences purchasing cars (e.g. pushy, rude sales I have ever had buying a car. But I walked into Fox Valley VW and was greeted with a smile from Jimmy who was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in (2011 Golf). When I got into the office, it was very calm and relaxing, and everything just went as good as it could through the whole process. I really felt like part of the family while I was there. I thought I got lucky with Jimmy being the nice salesman that he his, but when I met John, Jim B., and Anthony (the managers), they too were full of smiles and laughs.
