This by far is the most honest dealer that I have gone to. Just recently I visited VW of Orland and the customer service and integrity of the staff was horrible. They were trying to charge me for something that I didnt need and then tried to say that I let someone mess with my transmission. Well once they looked, they were the only one who had services my trans. I called Fox Valley and explained the situation and they immediately thought that something was suspicious. I took my car to them the very next day to look at the same problem and of course they saw no problem and to top it off Fox Valley didnt charge me a thing to look at the vehicle. VW of Orland wanted to charge me $287 to top off fluids that were not missing and an additional $99 to diagnose that I needed the fluids (complete scammers and rip offs). Renee, the mechanic rode in the car with me to verify the problem (that was not a problem) and Ryan was very helpful as well. He got me in the very next day and even ordered a cosmetic part for my car (no questions asked). Although a bit pricier than other VW dealers, I definitely recommend Fox Valley just to avoid the aggravation of other places. More

Worst (potential) car buying experience ever. I went to shaumburg VW to purchase my first car after graduating college and have never felt so inconcideratley treated. The salesman was extremely pushy and when I offered him fair price for his vehicle he made my girlfriend and I feel like complete idiots for evening offering and that their price was the lowest around. This was completely untrue. The car, a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg was a pile! Scratches everwhere. The drivers rear door was literally falling off of its hinges. The front tires were replaced with the cheapest tires know to man that were louder than a set of superswampers. When I mentioned the tires on the test drive he just looked out the window and said and I quote "What noise are you talking about?". I sware a deff man could hear them. The interior was also the same as the exterior. Scratched and dirty. Then after an hour of trying to deal with the guy we got up and said thank you for your time we'll be leaving now. About 10 steps from my car the guy practicly came running out to stop us. Then he said well let me show you this Passat I have. So once again here we go. I look at the car and same as the last, a pile! Scratches, dents, loose steering.... JUNK. Yesterday I bought a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg from The City Autobarn. All I can say is this was the best experience buying a car I could have ever wanted. Patrick was extremely helpful. Adsolutely painless! I told him what I wanted for my trade and he got it, not a question asked. Told him what I wanted for APR and guess what? He got it and even beat it by .5%. Notice how I kept repeating I? Because Pat was actually concerned about me the consumer. Not like the guy from Shaumburg who only saw a dumb college grad whom he could make a quick buck on by selling BS. Whoever is reading this please do yourself a favor and head over to The City Autobarn. I guarentee you'll be happy with your choice. They were great. Also I bought my car with 20,000 miles less and in flawless condition as werll as $2,000 cheaper than what Shaumburg had. Could'nt be happier! More

This was my first experience with Volkswagon and it was exceptional. Every type of car I was interested was available to test. HORRIBLE customer service. I can't even give them one star. Broken promises (missing mats that were promised to be replaced and weren't, hubcap replaced with one that does not match, missing owners manua star. I went there with a water leak and was told that it was just a little leak and should be fine until I bring it back and they will call me with a quote - less than 10 miles later the water pump pulley cracked off! A week later, I am still waiting for the promised phone call with the estimate (they have no clue about the pulley). I left several messages with salesman DW that have not yet been returned. There are plenty of VW dealerships out there - find one that knows what customer service is - this place STINKS!! More
