Had a very positive purchasing experience with Andy & Raffi for a ‘24 VW Atlas. My wife was in need of an upgrade and our Cherokee had bee a good car for 7 years, but we needed more space with a growing Raffi for a ‘24 VW Atlas. My wife was in need of an upgrade and our Cherokee had bee a good car for 7 years, but we needed more space with a growing family. We came in to browse around, Castle didn’t have the Color combination with the features we were hoping for. Andy & Raffi found had an atlas that met all our needs in our second choice of color, and worked with us to make the deal worthwhile to close the door. Listen, they still initially low-balled our trade in and had a few fees in the final markup that weren’t necessary, but every dealership does this to wide their margins. What I think is important is that when it came time to make a deal, they were willing to bump up our trade-in value to something closer to what our online evaluation was. I didn’t expect it to match perfectly because of the used car market. They also removed some of the fees we thought were unnecessary. Long story short, if you show them you’re serious about making a deal, they seemed more than pleasant to work with. As an added bonus, because we continued to explore neighboring dealers inventories to see if we could find our color, we had to come back on a Saturday with our kids to complete the deal (Neighboring dealerships in Palatine & Elgin were fine, but could not match their number on the same trim level). Raffi & Andy worked quickly and supplied our two kids under 4 with mini soccer xxxxx & sunglasses to keep them entertained while the process played out. All in all, great experience and it will certainly be a starting point for us in future. More

Scammers. Terrible experience trying to buy a car online here. Was quoted an "out the door" price "with all fees included" that I was okay with. But when the salesperson sent me the Bill of Sale to review, they tacked on another ***$2000*** for "Accessories" (that when I asked wth that was it turned out to be a 7-year "LoJack subscription" that I didn't ask for) and $700 for "Government Fees" and refused to itemize exactly what those fees were for. When I told them I didn't want the $2000 LoJack subscription, they said it was mandatory and they pre-install them in all their vehicles. But they conveniently left that out of the "out the door" price I was quoted in the beginning. They also added duplicate fees to both the "Taxes" and "Government Fees" sections of the Bill of Sale. If I didn't pay attention that, it would have cost me an extra $700. They also tried to sell me a 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with only 5/32" of tread depth left on nearly bald tires, not safe for summer rain, let alone winter. The car was going to need a new $1500 set of tires within a month or two of the purchase. If I didn't specifically ask about that and request photos, I'd wouldn't have known until after signing the contract and delivery. Total scammers and waste of a hard pull on my credit report. Have to start all over again at another dealership. Castle Volkswagen should not be trusted! I wish I'd read all the 1-star reviews on their own website first. This dealership has already been called out for selling used cars with worn out tires. Shameful practice. Glad I caught it before they got my money. Check the tires! I'm guessing good service from a dealership or car salesman is out of the question anymore. This place wasted my entire day, as I was sitting around waiting on Marina to call me back. Yesterday on the 21st I submitted a credit app and picked out 3 vehicles I was interested in. I ended up narrowing it down to 2. This morning the 22nd Marina called me to see when I would like to come in. I informed her no need for me to come in until there was a deal to be done, and I informed her I had submitted my credit app via their online portal. She let me know she would have her manager run the credit and see what they get back, and she would CALL ME before lunch. At 11:34 AM she EMAILED me requesting a click a link to fill out a credit app. When I clicked the link it took me to the app I filled out YESTERDAY, which was completely filled out. I took screenshots and emailed them over to her so she could see I filled it out all YESTERDAY. She replied she would let management know and would CALL ME in a bit. At 12:10 PM she EMAILED me yet again, instead of calling me. She informed me she was waiting for management to "confirm" they received the application. At 1:35 PM I emailed her this time asking for an update, as I have been talking with Napleton (who has me an approval - but I really want the car I picked out from Castle). At the time of this review, 2:48 PM Marina has not replied, CALLED me, sent smoke signals or anything. Its really sad to me that they can not just simply follow up and let a customer know when they are sitting here WAITING FOR A PHONE CALL! They have lost my resect and business, I'll shop Carvana at this point before dealing with these guys. I'm also going to reach out to Volkswagen directly and let them know of my experience with this dealership. More
