DECEPTIVE PRATICES DECEPTIVE PRACTICES: On 4-21-2017 I reviewed this dealership's web site and took interest in a Subaru Forrester that was listed on this site at this DECEPTIVE PRACTICES: On 4-21-2017 I reviewed this dealership's web site and took interest in a Subaru Forrester that was listed on this site at this dealership. I contacted CASTLE and spoke with a salesperson and asked if the vehicle I was looking at was available, and was told NO, it was gone. When I asked why was it still listed I then was switched over to the Manager who stated they did in fact have this vehicle. I provided the manager with the entire vehicle identification number and he verified it was there, so I scheduled a test drive for Saturday at 8;45 am. I was told the vehicle would be ready for my wife and me to test drive at that time. The salesperson even sent me a message to verify the test drive and me to ask for the Sales Manager DAVE when I arrived. On Saturday at 8:45 I met with Dave and he directed us to a salesperson named Frank, this person brought a vehicle similar to the one discussed the day before however, it wasn't the same vehicle because it had a different vehicle identification number and was optioned out differently. Frank the salesperson had Dave the Manager look into this discrepancy and after approx. 5 minutes I was told that vehicle was not there but could be there by May 23rd. I believe this dealer intentionally lied to get us to drive to their dealership on hopes that maybe we might like a different vehicle other than the one discussed the day before. After spending most of my professional career working with car dealers, I must say I am not surprised however, I am appalled at this type of deceptive practice. TAKE NOTE: If the dealer lies to you just to get you to visit his/her dealership how will they treat you at a later date More
