My wife and I highly recommend buying a Subaru from Castle McHenry. One of their employees Joe Garity recommended it to me, and I'm glad I listened to him. I specifically worked with Subaru Specialis Castle McHenry. One of their employees Joe Garity recommended it to me, and I'm glad I listened to him. I specifically worked with Subaru Specialist Ed Chambers and had a great experience. He negotiated a fair amount for my 2021 Ram 1500 trade in. He was also helpful throughout the whole process of my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek purchase. I wanted a quality vehicle that was safe for my family and one that had great gas mileage for my work commute. Ed Chambers took the time to explain everything, to answer questions, and to make sure my family was taken care of. Ed is a legit, quality guy. I also appreciated working with Noah Cherry, who handled all the financing. I knew I would get a great rate with my credit score, but he got it down even lower than I expected. And although I'm not big on extended warranties, I purchased the Subaru extended warranty from Noah and Ed for peace of mind, especially with all the electrical components and chips these days. Lastly, I also appreciated the follow up after the purchase. Ed gave me a detailed tour of the vehicle and answered any questions. He also followed up with a couple personal phone calls in the following days and weeks asking how everything was going. Buying a car is a huge purchase, so I appreciated his follow up. We definitely love Subaru. We bought my wife a Forester there a few years ago. I loved it so much that I wanted a Subaru as well. We definitely recommend both the Subaru brand and buying from this specific dealership. Highly recommend! More
After reviewing 2 prior comments, I feel obliged to write my good new Subaru buying experience with salesman Matt Wollman. Autoplex hires more non-productive crew than necessary, but if you are paired with a my good new Subaru buying experience with salesman Matt Wollman. Autoplex hires more non-productive crew than necessary, but if you are paired with a good salesman it is a good shopping experience: No hidden fees, Little Pressure, Allows for longer Road Test given the circumstances, Price Flexibility, No tricky Sweet Talks as I have seen in many other places where salesmen are working for their own greed, not doing a decent business for their dealership boss. Watch out on salesman who is more interested to sell you an used car for his own steep profit than fitting your transportation need. Think this: if a prior owner likes his/ her own car so much without a problem, why does it need to be sold to new car dealership? This is very simple logic hiding the fact that most used cars got some serious problems covered up while the dealer extra profits on you selling extended warranty. More
Worst dealership I’ve ever been to. Calls get directed to people who have no idea what your talking about. Managers won’t return calls or voicemails after repeated left messages. Adviso Calls get directed to people who have no idea what your talking about. Managers won’t return calls or voicemails after repeated left messages. Advisors are unhelpful and Unknowledgeable. Unwilling to understand the problem and frustration of what’s wrong with cars. Was told I have to pay to diagnose a problem on my car that was directly related to work that was done on my car from the mechanic there. Mechanics seem to not know much about cars and neglect what the clients say is wrong with vehicle. Mechanics will take apart parts of your car and not put it back together properly then never write it in the service record. Went in three times for the same problem and they couldn’t even fix it. Went in on a separate occasion to get fluids changed, got my car back with no fluids even added.Would highly not recommend anyone going to this dealership. Dishonest and unhelpful. Will leave you with more problems then you started. Everytime I go there it’s a bad experience. More
I received a Truecar price from the dealer with a $3600 discount on a New Outback Limited XT in December. I visited the location three times and they never were able to provide the car. I had questio discount on a New Outback Limited XT in December. I visited the location three times and they never were able to provide the car. I had questioned them on my visits and they always assured me it would be a new car but they stated it would be new until they called me a few days after my last visit to tell me it would be a loaner. Bait and switch. Also the salesman (Austin) would play stupid and would apologize for every issue but would make little effort to correct the problem. There are many dealers that don't play games, I recommend you try another dealership or prepare yourself for the shenanigan's many dealers are know for. Lastly the contacted me today 2/3/23 to tell me that i could come and test drive the loaner and that it could be available by the end of February. More
