Lack of professional integrity Dear Mr. Lasher, On Tuesday, August 30, 2016 I purchased a 2016 Chevy Equinox at your dealership, which had been recommended to me by a neighbor. Dear Mr. Lasher, On Tuesday, August 30, 2016 I purchased a 2016 Chevy Equinox at your dealership, which had been recommended to me by a neighbor. I received your request for my completion of a satisfaction survey, but since I am still waiting to have an issue taken care of, I have not yet completed it. Before I continue, I want to let you know that Jay Dallmann was extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to work with him on my purchase. I have yet to complete the GM survey for the same reason I mentioned above and want the 'powers that be' to know I have only POSITIVE feedback regarding his assistance. He even came in on his day off to assist me. I came in on Friday, September 2, 2016 to have a remote start installed at my expense ($450 was added to my purchase price). I dropped off my car at 9 AM, and at noon I received a call from Justin asking if I could bring in my second key so the remote start could be added to it also. I live 30 minutes away and when I got there I asked how long it might take and he said 1/2 hr to an hour so I chose to wait. Three hours later my car was ready and I received two different keys altogether, so I could have just returned the second key when I picked up my car. I spoke with Jay about this, and he said he would look into it, but before he could get back to me on that another issue arose. I was hoping for a gas card or two for having to spend the afternoon in the waiting room, instead this inconvenience was overshadowed by what I discovered on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. That was when I discovered that a bumper-to bumper warranty ($1,840.35) had been added to my purchase price despite the fact that I had declined it at least THREE times in my discussion with George. My daughter-in-law was with me for the purchase and witnessed my refusals. When she stepped out of the room after I signed all the paperwork, George put that one (which should never have even been typed up in the first place because of my triple refusals) in front of me and I signed it, relying on his professional integrity as my head was spinning from the purchase. When I discovered the charge and talked to George on Tuesday, September 6, he again tried to convince me that I needed it, but when I refused AGAIN, he said that the charge would be removed, all I had to do was bring in the contract/policy when I got it from Ally in a week or so. I asked if that would lower my monthly payments, and he said probably not, but it would shorten the length of the loan. I would have had lower monthly payments had he filled out the paperwork as I had requested. I then called Jay, who could not address the issue because he is not certified in finances, but he referred me to Ray. I talked to Ray at 6:00 on Tuesday also, and he said he would have the warranty removed at 9 AM the next day and would get back to me with some compensation, a gas card or tire rotation, for this having happened. I suggested that I be refunded the $450 for the remote start to defray the higher monthly payment and he said he would look into compensation. (He did apologize profusely and say that it should NEVER have happened and that he did not want it to reflect badly on Castle Chevrolet as a whole.) When I did not hear from him the next day, I stopped in with my daughter-in-law at 1:30 on Wednesday, September 7. Raul Quesada talked to me in the showroom saying he had the warranty cancelled that morning and offered me a gas card. I restated the entire event as it went down in George's office the day of the purchase and he asked us to go to his office where he offered me "something else" to be added to my car. I said I would like to have a refund for the remote start and he went to talk to a manager. It was agreed that I would get a refund check for $450, but it could not be written there, it had to go through Villa Park Castle. I asked that it be sent to me and we verified my address. As I had still not received the check by Wednesday, September 14, I called and left a message for Ray to call me regarding the check. I received no call back that day, so I called again on Thursday and talked to Ray. He said he had the check in hand (it was not in Villa Park) and that it had been held up because someone was not in the office who needed to okay/write it and said he would have it put in the mail. Ray anticipated I should receive it by today. It did not arrive in my mail today. There is no way for me to know if that warranty is being added despite the customers' refusal to everyone's purchase or if they "saw me coming" as a senior who obviously had little car purchasing experience, but it surely was NOT a mistake. I could have paid for it and never been able to use it because I didn't know I had it. I can't help but wonder how many others may be in the same boat. I felt that you, as the General Manager, should be made aware of these situations. I will complete all surveys as soon as possible. Sincerely, Jan Getto More

Not only was everyone friendly and welcoming but they were also knowledgeable and determined to provide the best options without backing me into a corner. Castle Chevy North more than made up for a very unpleasant and disheartening experience at another dealership. My brother and I both walked away with brand new vehicles and will not hesitate to stop in or recommend Castle Chevrolet North to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle in the future. More
Liked the salesman, Mike, hated the finance guy, George Mike was very nice, conscientious and a sweetie for buying me a birthday cake! Everyone was friendly every time we walked in the door. However, dealing with George (the finance guy) was another story! He was arrogant and condescending. During the purchasing of the car, he became so unprofessional that I asked him if he wanted to take a break and come back acting business-like as that was how we were treating him. Apparently, George has never been asked to put the name of the Dealership on the title of the trade-in, so that it was not an 'open' title. (per the Secretary of State, this is illegal). Based on judging the Dealership solely on George, we would not come back there. More

He listened to me and didn't try to push any other cars on me, we only discussed the one I made the trip to look at.
