This was my first new car buying experience and I couldn't be happier! I submitted a request for a Subaru XV Crosstrek online. The next morning I had a reply in my inbox from Curtis. I let him know what I was looking for, how much I wanted to pay, what I had to trade-in and how much I wanted for it. He forwarded my info to Chris Ims and within the hour I was on a test drive. Once I made up my mind that this was the car I wanted it was time to talk numbers. This went surprisingly smooth. There was a little back and forth negotiating, as you'd expect, but in the end I feel like I got a good deal. Chris was nice and personable throughout the entire process. The original car we were negotiating on ended up not being available, not Chris' fault. A little frustrating at the time but it ended up being a good thing. Chris quickly found me a Premium model Crosstrek that was coming directly from Subaru and had it rerouted to McHenry. This was a huge bonus for me! I was able to get the car I wanted and then customize it with the accessories and options I preferred. A few days later I came to pick up my first new car. Fresh off the truck and exactly the way I wanted it. Financing was a breeze. In fact, Ozzie was able to get me a lower rate than I was originally expecting. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Gary Lang Auto Group. Obviously I can't speak about the domestic or used departments but the guys in the imports department are outstanding! Chris will be my recommendation to anyone looking for a new car. More

On a snowy Saturday, at 11:30 am, my wife and I had an emergency type repair (Power Steering Pump) on our way to a luncheon in Geneva, IL. On Monday, by phone, Don retrieved our service contract from our glove box, contacted the provider, arranged for us to pay only a deductable, and met us with a clean, repaired vehicle. I walked into Gary Lang Subaru wanting and needing a new car. I was greeted by Josh, who asked what I was looking for and got some of my information and said that he was going to find a salesman to take car car. I looked around for maybe five minutes and then was greeted by David. I explained to Daivd what I was looking for and what I am "about" and he got right to work looking for my car! I explained to David that I have been to other dealers in the past and they did not take me seriously because I am a younger car buyer, one ford dealer went so far as to tell me that I do not make enough money to buy a new car...before I even told him my full name! Back to the story, David showed me into a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, I test drove it and I loved it! I was sent home with high hopes awaiting loan approval. The next day David called me to break to me some bad news, I wasnt able to get the Crosstrek and stay in my monthly budget. I was disappointed and thought that they were going to give up on me but David told me to come in and look at some other models. When I went in, we sat down and we went over the certain things that I wanted in a car and he showed me what would suit those needs. I test drove a 2014 Subaru Legacy and instantly fell in love with it! I never would have thought to try this car if it were'nt for David! I ended up getting this Legacy, and have not looked back since! I recently went into the dealer to pick up some more paperwork and inquire about some add-ons and was treated just like a best friend and family. Thank you very much David, Josh and Ozzie, you truly made my first NEW car buying an experience to remeber and I will certainly be back when I want to upgrade my Subaru! More
