We had a great experience while purchasing our Honda Odyssey and the staff even stayed passed closing to complete our transaction and show us some of the details of our vehicle. But after we had our van home for a couple of days that is when our experience went south. We purchased some dealer installed aftermarket products during our purchase, a remote start & luggage racks, which after a couple of days we had to call to see when the parts were expected and to notify the salesman of some grease smudges we found in the daylight on the passenger leather seat. The parts came in Wednesday and our appointment was made to drop off our vehicle Saturday at 10:30, we purchased the van on the proceeding Saturday, and when dropping off our van I pointed out the grease stains on the seat and asked the service associate when it would be ready, he stated it would be after lunch when the van would be ready. Well at 3:30 we called to check on the progress so we could plan dinner for that evening after our 2 year old woke from his nap. We were told that it was not ready but should be ready tomorrow, Sunday and were asked if we needed a loaner vehicle but we didn't at the time. On Sunday afternoon around 2:00 we had not heard anything so another call was and made and apparently the service department is closed on Sunday, which we could not believe the staff didn't know that on Saturday when we were told it would be ready Sunday so we had to arrange to go pick up a loaner vehicle so my wife could get to work on monday with our 2 boys and we were told it would be ready Monday. When leaving the dealership with the loaner vehicle we found that it was almost empty of fuel so we returned and got the dealer to put fuel in the vehicle. On Monday at 4:30 and no word about the status of our van another call was made to find out that it still was not ready and we had to remain in the loaner vehicle for another day and that he didn't know what was taking so long because the service guys were not there but that it should be ready tomorrow. So at 1:45 on Tuesday we made another call and found out that our van was finally ready. After leaving work my wife said she felt like she was a burden to the service staff because she didn't arrive before 6 pm but was there at 10 after and the 1 service member that was there couldn't find the key to our van and then found it in someone else's folder and then he was acting bothered when she asked him to show her how to use the remote start and stated that he needed to make a phone call because he had people waiting on him and this was a day he was getting off on time. My wife exclaimed she had people waiting on her as well because we had dinner plans with family in from out of town and kids being watched by family because I had not yet gotten of work either. After getting the van home I found that there was still 2 of the 3 grease stains on the seat and another spot on the roof of the vehicle that was pointed out on the night we purchased our van had not been taken care of either. Sorry to say that our first experience with the service department of Casey Honda was not satisfactory. We felt that if we didn't call to check on our vehicle we would never have known what was going on and we or our satisfaction were no longer a priority to them. We have voiced our and I must add that with every contact that was made with our salesman, Jonathan D., that he was very polite and curtious and seemed to do his best to take care of our needs even though we had to make all of the phone calls to inquire about the progress of our vehicle. We felt Jonathan or a service center member should of kept us informed about our vehicles status daily. Management stated that the repairs were done in the time allotted by Honda therefore they were not in the wrong but understood our frustration and are giving us a free tank of fuel and a free wash. After a bad experience a few years ago at this same time of year, I thought I would try Casey Honda again. I went in for an oil change and was told that my CV boot was leaking, and I needed to get an axle replaced. I was quoted $325. This was on 12/20/14. I told Fred I needed to go home for Christmas. He said that it was leaking so badly that he didn't feel comfortable with me traveling, so I postponed my trip so I could get this fixed. I took the advice of my friends and had a second opinion at Brake King in Hampton, VA. The mechanic at Brake King came to me and told me that there was NOTHING wrong with my CV boots and axles. He even took me in so I could see and take pictures. I can't believe how deceitful Fred was at Casey Honda. He outright LIED to me. He also feigned sympathy about not 'feeling comfortable' with me driving home for Christmas with the CV boot leaking 'so badly'. I will be sharing this experience with everyone I know. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of someone, ESPECIALLY around the holidays. More

Its nice to know that you can depend on a company that appreciates your business and will always do their best to give you great customer service. I brought my car in last week because of a problem with the engine and was given the "Five Star Treatment". Your service team (Donna Turner, Amanda Carmony and Don Mateo provided me with "Cradle to Grave" service! From the moment I "arrived" I was treated with outstanding customer support. Donna was very tentative and took care of my needs in a very profession and courteous manner. Due to the nature of the problem I was given a "rental vehicle" to ensure that I was able to make it back home. Amanda was extremely profession and caring and provided me. outstanding support. She also gave me "ICE CREAM" while I waited. I felt like I was at "home"...that's what Casey Honda's like...a "home away from home". Finally, I have to "brag" on Mr. Don Mateo. This guy is the "cream of the crop". He's always pleasant, caring and extremely attentive. I am a twenty six year service veteran and I'll put Mr. Mateo up against any of my comrades when it comes to customer service and professionalism. I thought I was a "workaholic"...Mr. Mateo never sleeps! I received constant and consistent updates from Mr. Mateo providing me with details on my vehicle...My Mateo (Don) is the best when it comes when it comes to customer service! He's a "keeper"! When I received my car and was given the news that there was "no charge"...I almost fainted! I am extremely humbled and grateful for being a part of the Casey Honda Family!!! Thanks for everything. My family was traveling down Interstate 64 and we had an engine problem. After calling many dealerships, the folks at Casey Honda agreed to see us. It was a Saturday and a holiday weekend. We had come from the cold and the snow and were on our way to our home in Hatteras. Not only were we seen right away despite the dealership being busy, the children and the dog were treated well. I have owned my New Honda Civic Hybrid 2013 for one month and Mr. Fitzgerald sent me a letter to come by and meet the service team. She took care of scheduling my appointment and she was very friendly and told me that I could schedule my appointment with Mr. Fred Tolley. When I pulled up to the Service Department, Candie Cowden was the first to greet me and asked me what the service department could help me with today, I told her that i had a appointment to check over my new car and she took me over to Fred Tolley to get all my information for my service visit. Fred Tolley, which I have known for a few years, took very good care of me and made sure that I was happy with the Honda Service. I asked for Fred because Fred is very good with his customers and is very friendly/ professional. I rate my visit today - A + and thank-you for the two cups of coffee. Your coffee is the best along with all your folks that work in the service department. If you need Honda Service and don't know where to go, then stop by Casey Honda Service Department. My Wife and I noticed a small cosmetic defect in the leather on the driver's seat of the CRV that we bought a few months ago so we decided to take it in on a Saturday at about 3pm and see what our optio leather on the driver's seat of the CRV that we bought a few months ago so we decided to take it in on a Saturday at about 3pm and see what our options were and maybe make an appointment for later on the next week to get it fixed. We approached the employee at the service counter, who was doing something on the computer despite the fact that we were the only people in the service area, and we started to explain the seat problem. About a sentence into our explanation he cut us off and told us to come back when his manager was in the store. We asked why and he said only the manager can make that decision. I explained that I understood the need for a manager’s approval but I have no time during the week to play guessing games of when the manager will be in. The employee never looked up from the computer during the whole conversation, never offered any possible solutions and was unprofessional in the way he responded to my Wife and I. Needless to say we didn’t go back…we took it to First Team Honda in Chesapeake and they stood on their heads to help us out and treated us with respect. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your service unless you like being given the run around and being talked to like you are a sub-par human. More
