Great experience in purchasing a new vehicle. Anthony was very patient and answered all questions about the vehicle and because we lived over 300 hundred miles from the dealership he even went out and to was very patient and answered all questions about the vehicle and because we lived over 300 hundred miles from the dealership he even went out and took pictures of the vehicles exterior and interior so we could see what we were purchasing. The Financing was also very easy and the rates were much better than my local Credit Union and Bank. The real kicker though was that they actually delivered the vehicle to me, that is what I call service. My wife and I were going to go pick it up but my work schedule changed and we would not have been able to pick up our new Explorer until the following week so they offered to deliver it to us. If they treat all there customers like that they will have a very successful business. You can have the best product in the world but without service you have nothing. I would recommend this dealership to my family and friends. Dennis More
This is more a positive Joe Galletta and Nate Connelly review than a Casco Bay Ford review … Joe is (was?) a managing partner of Casco Bay Ford and he is the reason I went there in the first place after a review than a Casco Bay Ford review … Joe is (was?) a managing partner of Casco Bay Ford and he is the reason I went there in the first place after a 20 year relationship with Rowe Ford … Joe G is an absolute straight shooter, unlike many (if not most) xxxxxx-monks in the car bizness … Joe’s word is gold and he honestly treats customers the way we all want to be treated … Joe feels that taking care of the customer is # 1 and as long as that is done well, everything else will fall into place … that attitude obviously rubbed off on my salesman, Nate Connelly …. Nate was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable and personable … I bought a 2010 Sport Trac from Nate and could not be happier … I had one issue with the Sport Trac in that it had paint finish swirls all along 1 side of the vehicle from a bad factory buff job … Joe completely redetailed the truck at his expense when he found out about it and made no excuses whatsoever to try to crawl away from the problem … from what I understand, Joe G may be taking over the Ford dealership in South Paris ME … if he does, I shall be following him there … the man knows his business and treated me very well and fairly and he deserves my loyalty … Casco Bay Ford may or may not have Joe involved in running that location in the future … I guess that is an open question for now … if Joe is still involved with Casco Bay, so much the better for Casco Bay (probably way so much better, from what I hear thru the grapevine about the tailspin since Joe G stopped his day to day operations there) … if not, that is Casco Bay’s loss … let he who has ears, listen … More
I purchased an F- 350 diesel my sales person I feel was acting in good faith but his boss Bob Berwick flat out lied to my face to get the sale. When I went back to the dealer to finish the transaction he s acting in good faith but his boss Bob Berwick flat out lied to my face to get the sale. When I went back to the dealer to finish the transaction he said he had not told me what he had and blamed it on his sales person . He then lied to the owner in front of me at this point I could see things were going nowhere the owner told him to fix it and washed his hands off the matter at which time I was given the run around by Bob and his Minions until I gave up and left. The bottom line is this Bob Berwick Is a pathological liar and his boss did nothing to help me the customer. I would not buy anything from these " Gentlemen"ever again . Deal with them at your own risk ! More
This is what I wrote to their managing partner: I am This is what I wrote to their managing partner: I am writing this because I have never been so upset by a car dealership in my life. I wanted to buy This is what I wrote to their managing partner: I am writing this because I have never been so upset by a car dealership in my life. I wanted to buy the 2011 Raptor you have in stock. We went there on 4/29 and was shown the vehicle by Mark Laigle. I drove it and liked it. The pricing we got that day, after Mark went back and forth to someone, I don't know who, was $54,950 minus $250 coupon minus my trade-in of $15,265 for a net of $39,435. It was agreed that you would remove the graphics package so it became $39,435 minus $1870 for a total of $37,565. Also a Ford bedliner was to be thrown in as part of the deal. There was a discussion of plates and doc fees and after talking to "someone" Mark told my wife and I it would be $1 plate charge and $1 doc fee and of course no sales tax due to us being from NH. That made my wife comment to Mark, "That's great, no documentation fees." I called a day later and made a counter offer which was not accepted. So I called today to see if the original offer was still good and the vehicle was still available and was told yes. Bottom line is we go there today (150 mile round trip) and everything is ok except no bed liner, but Mark agreed to bring it to me and install - fine. Then when we think we're all set and after spending a couple hours we are now told there is now a $289 doc fee. Mark says we must have misunderstood him but that is pure Bull. He definitely quoted us the $1 each doc and plate fees. Otherwise, why would they, out of the blue, drop the doc fee $100. Maybe someone gave him bad info, maybe not, but I for sure know it is not the way to please a prospective customer. If I wasn't so mad at that point I would have told Mr. Blue Shirt to go down the hallway and read the sign in the waiting area. Also, the second part of the sign. It may seem petty to you to walk out over only $289 but if honesty prevailed you would have eaten the $289 which shouldn't have been there in the first place. I don't know what kind of operation you're running but there is obviously a definite communication problem with the staff. Their response: I am glad you have contacted me. There was/were obviously issues in our attempt to finalize a transaction with you. While I have a certain tolerance for mistakes and miscommunication, I certainly have no tolerance for deception and/or deviant, unethical behavior. After discussing the situation with my employees, in whom I have a high degree of faith, and hold in high esteem, I conclude there was no attempt to deceive you, in any manner, by anyone involved at my dealership. Unfortunately, this interaction did not result in a transaction at this time. If you wish to discuss it further I am always available. Thank you for the opportunity. Joe Galletta, Managing Partner, Casco Bay Ford My response to that (never answered): Thank you for your response. I am not saying it was an intentional deception regarding the Doc fee but we are 100% certain that we were told the price of $37,565 including bedliner plus $1 plate fee and $1 Doc fee. This did not happen until after Mark talked to someone inside. If it had been set up front we would have paid it with no question. No one mentioned anything about it until we'd been there over 2 hours. As much as I want that truck I can't drive over there again and sit around while nothing seemingly happens and maybe to be told there is some other charge that was overlooked. Just FYI Mark told us it was OK to pay by personal check. Is this a fact? I offered to go to the bank to get a check from them but of course it wouldn't have been for the correct amount. I'll probably wind up paying a lot more for another truck because most have the graphics pkgs installed. More

We went on the fordvehicles website and did a build your own Ford Escape. Casco Bay Ford had a close to identical vehicle sitting on their lot. We made an appt with Rowe Ford, and we were greeted by the own Ford Escape. Casco Bay Ford had a close to identical vehicle sitting on their lot. We made an appt with Rowe Ford, and we were greeted by the sales person at the door and got undivided attention throughout our time there. They had no inventory what-so-ever so we looked through the inventory of all of the vehicles in the Boston area and this one at Casco Bay Ford was the only one close to what we wanted. We had an appt with David Searles at Casco Bay Ford. For close to two hours we were virtually ignored, even after we stated we wanted to buy the vehicle. We went there to buy and we already knew what we wanted and we had already test driven a similar model. The Escape we wanted had over 2000 miles on it and we were informed that Joe G. let his wife drive it around for a while. Casco Bay Ford was completely unwilling to negotiate pricing at all and did the whole don’t leave, let me talk to my boss game. This, to me, is the sleaziest and most dishonest game in the book. After close to 3 hours of being at the dealership the county sheriff came in and served David with divorce papers. Another sales guy stepped in to assist us and we were finally offered water to drink. It shouldn’t take 3 hours to be offered water. We sought out Joe G (managing partner) and expressed our discontent with him. We were able to work out pricing that both parties felt fair. Part of the agreement was that we would get rubber front and rear floor mats as as well as a rubber rear cargo mat. We were pre-approved with Bank of America for a loan with an interest rate of 2.94%. Kurt was unable to get that same interest rate through their normal processes through the same bank and tried to pressure us into a 3.5% rate. A simple follow up the following morning and Bank of America honored the 2.94% rate from the pre-approval. After close to 5 hours at the dealership, we drove off of the lot with our new vehicle. I was driving in our other car in front of my wife driving in the new Escape when I noticed that one of the fog lights on our brand new car did not work. We plan on getting this looked at Rowe Ford when we get our first oil change as we have no plans to do any further business with Casco Bay Ford. Upon the first wash of the vehicle we noticed a slight water leak in the rear window. We also plan on getting fixed at Rowe Ford. The inspection sticker on the car was set for May. We didn’t purchase the vehicle until the end of June and it should have been updated to reflect the accurate time. We didn’t notice this until July rolled around it was too late to do anything about it at that time. We found a Nintendo DS in the pocket of our rear seat. Being honest people, we returned it to Joe G as it belonged to his kid. It was left in there when his wife was using the vehicle. You would think they would do a thorough inspection of the vehicle before selling it. We were told it would take a week for our rubber mats to come in. Two weeks later, after a couple of phone calls, they were finally in. Brian, delivered them to us the next day. After getting home, and anxious to open my new package, I quickly realized they only got us the front and rear floor mats and did not order the rear cargo mat. After a few phone calls, we finally got a call back stating that they will order us a rear cargo mat. A couple of business days later we got a call saying our rear cargo mat was in. We thought it was weird that took so little time to get in. We setup a time to meeting a Casco Bay Ford employee at a local business as he as unfamiliar with the area and could not find our place. We received the box from him and drove home. When we got home we opened up the box to find some cheesy, aftermarket, rolled up and bent, doesn’t even fit correctly, plastic rear cargo mat. The paper we have signed by them clearly says RUBBER cargo mat. We are so disgusted at this point that we given up as we know we are never going to be satisfied with them. More
