Returned to pick up t Received a quote from the service department to replace 2 gaskets. Dropped the car off and requested used parts be saved for me. Returned to pick up the car and only one gasket had been replaced. Technician included an o-ring in with the one used gasket. My car has a timing chain tensioner gasket and does not have an o-ring. Invoice included charges for the timing chain tensioner gasket but narrative stated they replaced o-ring. Called and spoke with Service Manager who investigated complaint. He determined the technician did not replace the timing chain tensioner gasket and stated the technician told him he took the o-ring out of his toolbox. Arranged a time to return to the dealership to have the second gasket replaced. Service Manager seemed to sincerely want to rectify the situation, however, it should not have been necessary to return a second time to have the work performed. More
I found the vehicle I had always wanted at this dealership. Sean Compton, Sales, was very helpful with my purchase making sure I was satisfied and happy. After a few days of ownership I noticed a dealership. Sean Compton, Sales, was very helpful with my purchase making sure I was satisfied and happy. After a few days of ownership I noticed a couple of things that I questioned about the car and I spoke with Aimee Tillison, Customer Service Manager. Aimee is very busy making sure all customers are happy with their purchase and I was no exception. Aimee has stayed in constant contact with me, keeping me up to date on what is happening with my car. They are taking care of all the little issues I had and I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Carver Toyota, new or used, because their customer satisfaction is their number one priority. Thank you Aimee!! More
Had a spark knock sensor repaired that was not under warranty. The intake was removed during this repair. The service repair bill was $643.17. Eight months later the truck started having multiple mis warranty. The intake was removed during this repair. The service repair bill was $643.17. Eight months later the truck started having multiple misfires. I took the truck back to this dealership and they diagnosed the problem as a map sensor problem or a wiring harness. Installed new map sensor but this did not solve the problem. I called back to Toyota and they could not get the truck in for a week or so. I took the truck to a shop in Louisville and there the problem was diagnosed as an intake gasket failure. They stated that it should be under warranty from the work performed at Wiese Carver in Columbus. I called the dealership and talked to Tom. He stated that they re-installed the old gasket on the intake to save money so therefore it was not under warranty. I was advised to have the work performed in Louisville since it was not under warranty. After I reviewed the ticket from the first work on the truck I found that there was a new intake gasket set put on the truck at the Columbus dealership. I found the part number of the ticket and called Columbus dealership to verify the part. I was told that it was not a Toyota part number. I called Tom yet again and told him that a new gasket was put on but it was not a Toyota part number. He called back and changed his story saying he did put a new gasket on but it was an after market part. He said he did this to save me money and there is still no warranty on it. Displeased with the answer I got, I called customer service to voice my concern. I was told that the service department did not use after market parts. I spoke with Aimee Tillison. She said that she would call the next day but she did not follow through. I had to call her again the next day for her to tell me that they are not responsible for the truck again. I did not authorize after market parts to be used and I did not know that dealerships used after market parts. I will not be returning to this dealership. More
