I took my Subaru into the Carter Subaru service center for repair. Carter Subaru made a mistake in their initial diagnoses but they owned it and made it right. Finding a repair shop you can trust is becoming more and more difficult to find. Carter Subaru proved to me that not only are they trustworthy but that they value their customers and are concerned about earning their future business. That’s something that I’m not sure you can put a price tag on. Thank you Paul for the genuine concern you showed and your excellent customer service. More
We were in the market for a pre-owned Certified Subaru Forester Touring. It is Bronze with Saddle Brown interior. The salesman, Steve was very helpful, knowledgeable, kind. We were in and out in less than an hour. Steve explained in detail all the amenities and how to use the tough screen to navigate through the Forester's infotainment system. We had been looking for over 3 months for just the right Subie for the right price. Carter Subaru was like a Star among the other Subaru dealerships that we tried working with for the perfect Forester for us. It was definitely worth the 3-hour drive from our home in North Central WA state to Shoreline. Carter Subaru now has a lifetime customer with us. It's worth the drive to be heard, understood and listened to as a customer and our needs and a Great price for our vehicle. My wife drives a LOT more than I do in her Outback, so when it wears out, we will definitely buy from Carter Subaru in Shoreline again. Thanks again Carter Subaru for such great teamwork in helping us purchase the Subie we were looking for and such a great price ! A big shout out to Steve, our salesman who was incredible to work with. More
Again a dealership with a Horrible Condescending Asst Service Manager. Arrived to only find my appointment was never received online , after driving for 30 miles. Tried over and over to convince me my Service Manager. Arrived to only find my appointment was never received online , after driving for 30 miles. Tried over and over to convince me my new vehicle did not need a very needed update. Overall Subaru dealerships are the worst when it comes to friendly customer service. More

The Poor service. We just bought a brand new car two months ago and noticed the rear wiper was missing after going through a touch free car wash. The service person said we would have to get reimbursed by car wash for the wiper blade after paying for it up front. We made a service appointment to fix the wiper. On the day of the appointment my husband sat for an hour and a half to be told they don’t have the part. Total waste of our time. Absolutely ridiculous that they didn’t have the part yet scheduled the service. Also unacceptable that we should have to pay for it on a car that is a couple of months old. More
I have only good things to say about Carter Subaru Shoreline. They have been cheaper than my mechanic in West Seattle. Yes they are a ways to go for me but it's been worth it. No work done. Scheduled oil change, windshield repair & re-calibration of sensors 2 weeks in advance (first available appointment). Dropped off Outback at 8:30 am. Scheduled oil change, windshield repair & re-calibration of sensors 2 weeks in advance (first available appointment). Dropped off Outback at 8:30 am. At 3 pm I got a call saying they needed to keep the car overnight. I really needed the car the next day so I went in to pick it up. No oil change, no re-calibration, no apologies, no reasons. The windshield was replaced because they sub that work out to a different company (Tru-View, John Winter, a great guy & excellent company). An amateurish operation, and one to be avoided. More

I worked with Garret from the Internet department because I got my quote online. I also worked with Dan L. in financing. Both were very friendly. I felt that everyone was up-front about costs, available discounts, and the value of the different options. I didn't feel pressured into getting anything that I didn't want, and I felt that I had the opportunity to ask all the questions I wanted. I was happy with the price and the quality of the vehicle I got. I would recommend this dealership. More
Dealership is great, service is bad. We have purchased three Subaru’s from this dealership and they have been so kind at the dealer. But whenever I am in service I always feel unwanted in there? Erin has probably been dealing with my services for the past 2 visits and I have never felt welcomed by her. Today, was just too much. I get it they are busy but they should not have treated me the way they have. The first man I spoke to said they were busy probably two weeks in. And then referred me to Erin. And here goes it all. I tell her that our car was overdue for an oil change and the response I get from her was “well that’s a disappointment” and stares at me. I’m like okay. She’s horrible and because of her and the majority of the people in service I won’t come back for their service. In fact I will call out the only person who has been the only person so kind and helpful to me, CARLOS. He is always kind to my sister and I whenever we go in. Aside from that the people in dealership are kind and welcoming. They don’t nag you and are so helpful. John Sylvester and Desmond are very kind and work hard for what they do. They were able to get us a car even below our means and we appreciate that a lot. And it just shows the type or human beings that they are. Other than that I have no other complain, except for their service. So if you want a car come here. But for other things just drive the extra mile to walker’s or the one in ballard’s Or even on the east side. More
