Dishonest, Cheat, Liar, Thief We bought a car from Curt Bettiker, CAROLOGY off of EBay. The pictures looked good, as did the description. The sales agreement stated that there were NO undisclosed defects, damage or mechanical problems. When the vehicle arrived, we discovered $7,000 of mechanical defects and hidden damage. The vehicle had body damage, cracked windshield, torn seat, broken seat belts, ripped window screens, transmission and engine troubles. We tried for over a week to contact CAROLOGY via email, telephone and EBay messaging - to no avail. When we finally posted negative feedback on EBay, Curt Bettiker suddenly arose from his coma. He offered to pay $1,500 towards the defects, but ONLY after we removed the negative feedback. We finally agreed to accept $500, before removing the feedback. Of course, you guessed it... he went dark and fell off of the grid never sending the final $1,000 that he promised. EBay Motors stepped in. After reviewing the images in the original auction listing and the sales contract with the NO DEFECTS claim, they agreed that CAROLOGY had been fraudulent. We realized that CAROLOGY had cropped the images or had taken them from angles that did not accurately reflect the condition of the vehicle (they hid the damages). EBay's Buyers Assurance Program eventually paid for our losses. CAROLOGY is not to be trusted. Curt Bettiker is a a thief and con-artist. Do your internet search engine research on him and his company. You will find many moral, ethical and legal transgressions . I wish I had done more due diligence prior to entering into a purchase agreement. I would have started taking the bus to work. More
