Purchased 2013 Kia Sorento on 04/30/2025. Back seat mechanisms were faulty and dealer refused to repair. Costs me $889 at another dealer. They knew it at High Point. Recall notice that killed my car is going to take months to get fixed. I have a 2022 Kia EV6 and up to this point, I have loved the car. There was a recall notice that came in November of 2024 to fix the ICUU. If this part dies (which mine did) the vehicle is rendered undriveable. They have had my car for over a month since it died and there is NO timeline for fixing it. They cannot even give me a loaner and can give no reasonable answer as to why. Stay away from this place because they are terrible. More
My wife and I bought a used 2019 KIA Sorento and worked with Simon and it was a great experience. Within 6 months ,we started having electrical issues that kept killing the battery. The dealer tried very hard to diagnose the problem and couldn't find the problem. I was mad and asked the owner to take the car back and it was a bit of a fight but they finally took the car and we were able to purchase a new 2025 KIA Sorento S model. We worked with Brandon Johnson, and he was great to work with. I give the dealership a 3 out of 5, but Brandon a 5 out of 5. He was great. Yes, I would purchase from him again. More
Bought a brand new 2017 kia soul from here. I have always loved Kias this was actually my third kia. I work at a bank i only drive to and from work 6 miles a day and then the normal once a year I have always loved Kias this was actually my third kia. I maintain my car like i should and take pride in taking care of it because this was the first brand new car i ever owned. Fast forward to 2022 I noticed it was burning oil so made appointment did oil consumption test, it passed. i did not understand but im not a mechanic so i took them at their word. fast forward again to 2023 still notice it using oil so call trying to get appointment. Kimberly in parts was really rude telling me they were over welmed with fixing cars from recalls from bad engines thats when i started doing my research on these GDI engines and realizing the problems i was having was same. after many calls and complaints finally got appointment. now 2 almost 2 years later enginge is blown Kia giving me hassel to replace engine. it is still under warranty.I now am a kia hater! Bought brand new kia forte in April 2019. Seats emitting fine particles, dash, door panels, seats, etc full of white, fine particles. Went to Kia, they looked at it. Nothing was done. Went back about fibers flying in air again & again. Nothing done. Finally after 3 years they sprayed seats. Not as much particles on dash for 2 weeks. Went back again & again. No satisfaction. Same mess. CLled the Kia Corporation and reported the non-service I had been reeiving. Corp contacted them. No response from HP Kia. Service manager, Mager Elswick will not return calls. Got appointment again Dec 21,2023.Talked with Service manager,he took pictures of particles on steering, dash,etc.. Was to contact upper Service, send pictures, & call me about next steps. No call Jan. 21, 2024. Called Kia Corp. They reached out to him. Still no call from him. Lrleft him messages. Still no call. Filed complaint Feb.1, 2024 with Kia Corp to be sent to Carolina Kia. Waiting for response from case manager at Kia Corp Monday. MY ADVICE to anyone buying from Carolina Kia,bewar More
I bought the car the first week or two of 2023. In February, the battery died and Carolina Kia wouldn't give me a new battery, they just charged the one that came with the car. When I was talking to the service person (Mark Walters) on the phone to see I could get a new battery and I had also told them about five other things that needed fixing, he hung up on me. They kept the car a week and only charged the battery. Nothing else was fixed. I went to them because I had heard too many bad things about our local Kia dealership, but after the treatment I received at Carolina, I'm thinking I made a mistake to purchase from them. More
