I purchased a Toyota Tacoma online from Carmel Motors and the dealer shipped the vehicle as part of the purchase price. The vehicle arrived unannounced with a dead battery and a smashed windshield. While the dealer did purchase a new battery for us through AutoZone, the windshield replacement has been a different story. The delivery driver did not speak English very well and claimed the windshield was smashed by individuals "molesting" him at a rest stop. He offered cash to my wife for the windshield. While apologetic to what happened, he was clearly trying to complete the delivery and go quickly. Uncomfortable with the situation, my wife accepted an amount that was half of the replacement cost of the windshield. The dealership at first appeared to want to work with me on a resolution by getting the shipper to pay the difference, but stopped pursuing a resolution with them and stated they were filing a claim with their own insurance co. That was 6-Sept 2023. Weekly requests for information have gone unreturned. They appear to be ghosting me. I felt my only recourse was to share my experience with this dealer so others could potentially avoid a bad experience themselves. More
Came to look at a car after we pointed out some of the things that were wrong( and there was a lot) we decided not to buy that particular car. They had a same vehicle as the previous one so we had them bring it up. At a glance we knew we weren't interested so the salesman slams the hood and says sorry we couldn't help you. Now if I were a sales person selling cars I'd say well what is it your looking for and let's see what we can do. Not slam a hood of a car and with a cocky tone say sorry we couldn't help you. More
We had a bad experience before we even walked in. Nobody was wearing a mask. Not the receptionist or the the salesmen goofing around. I told the receptionist that I was looking for Daniel. I called the day before to make sure the car was going to be available. Daniel took my call and said the car was getting the instrument cluster replaced but that he would text me. He never did text me. I stopped in and he came up when called, without a mask, and said he was going to check. He disappeared through a door and we stepped out into the fresh cold air. We waited about 10 minutes and left. It was a waste of time and gas. More

Everything was straight-forward, timely, and friendly. We did have an issue with the vehicle when we left...BUT Alex was quick to respond to my message and the dealership is taking care of it. Honestly I first gave a 1-star, but that quickly turned to a 4-star and now, through the repairs and getting the car back all fixed...5-stars! It's nice to see that the friendly and helpful mannerisms displayed at first were not just a ploy to get us to purchase a vehicle, but were in fact genuine. I would highly recommend Carmel Motors and Alex specifically. More
