Rudest business office associates. Sold my car to Carmax almost a month ago now and they didn't send enough for the payoff and I'm still dealing with this mess. Went in and was met by a sassy and rude associate with bright orange hair and was told there was no way for them to look up the information if I didn't provide the last 6 of the vin of the car I sold them a couple weeks ago. I said there is definitely another way and was met with a snarky response of write down your name and number and step off to the side. Was told a check would be overnighted to the lien holder. Then a week later lienholder calls me because no check was received. Called Carmax again and was told they had to send a message to central business office to get the tracking link for a check for the difference that was supposedly sent and I would get a call back within 24 hours. No call back. So I called and ended up speaking to a lead that ended up just taking my name and number then hung up on me. So rude! Was a former employee too and will never be a customer again if that's how your business office wants to operate. Finally got a call the Monday after that they'd be overnighting another check. Lienholder informed me today (Friday) that no check has arrived as of yet and now they say if they don't receive payment, I have to pay June's car payment. More

The business office for CarMax appears to be totally inept. Our sales person was Cody Turlington, and he did a great job. They set us up with a loan so that we could take the truck home that day, but ou inept. Our sales person was Cody Turlington, and he did a great job. They set us up with a loan so that we could take the truck home that day, but our credit union sent a check for the payoff on the loan the very next day. although it has been verified that they received the check for the full payoff of the car, they failed to cash it. A month later, they began to harass us for not making payments on the truck, and we repeatedly gave him the information that the truck have been paid off. One time the specialist on the phone would say if they had sent the check back, and then another time they would say they were holding the check because it was the wrong amount. Eventually they admitted that the amount of the check was the exact right amount, and have repeatedly said that they would fix it. but each time that they say that they're going to fix it, we got a phone call within the next 4 or 5 days telling us that they have reported us to the credit bureau for not making our loan payments. At which point we start all over again and tell them that we've already paid off the truck. At this point I have had to file a complaint with the Federal consumer finance protection bureau. it still has not been resolved, and we bought the truck 2 months ago. More
Really wish I could give this dealer a zero rating. This continues to be the worst car buying experience of my life. For the second time, my wife, infant son and I have been left literally standing in the cold at Carmax Norcross when they did not honor a curbside appointment made and verified by multiple staff. After being told I would receive documents to sign electronically I never did and we've now been waiting an hour for everything to get re-sorted. We are apprehensive to go inside as staff and customers alike are unmasked (see photo). And naturally there are no benches or seats outside. Will be eating a very late dinner with a fussy baby yet again, thanks Carmax. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! More

shame I had purchase a car with confidence of quality, paying more than worth. I got Maxcar for mechanics issues, car was 2006. Thanks God I did. The car was awful, making noises in the rear wheels and spending tones of gas. So, I decided exchange for other newer, 2010. That was ridiculous, because it had break problems they couldn't fix. I stayed with the car for 3 months but I drove the car around 1 month because I was using a rental when they were trying to fix it, off course with after market products. So, I exchanged again. That time the car was ok but I got really bad loan, so I tried to refinance and off course it was impossible with high price on the car . Finally, I got sold it and I don't want ever heard Carmax word again in my life. That is ugly way to make business. More
