Quality of Service is Excellent - Cost of many repairs High In January 2018 I was advised at this dealership that I needed a new transfer case for my 2013 RAV4 and the quote given was over $6,000.00. I was sho In January 2018 I was advised at this dealership that I needed a new transfer case for my 2013 RAV4 and the quote given was over $6,000.00. I was shocked on two fronts concerning this matter. 1. That a less than 5 year old vehicle would need a transfer case replaced. 2. The cost quote! I took my vehicle to another dealer and they replaced the transfer case with OEM parts and labor for $1,550.00. On another matter, when I was in the market to buy a new car in 2013, I had asked 3 dealers for their best pricing for the same vehicle. After musch conversation with each, I advised all that I would be choosing which dealership I would be purchasing from at 6:00pm on a specific day. I made my choice based on offers received and 30 minutes later, after buying the vehicle from another dealer, this dealer called and stated that it was too bad that I purchased from someone else, offering an additional $500.00 discount for the vehicle I had just purchased. Sour grapes and just plain mean spirited. Uff Da... More

Above and beyond: I recently (one week ago) traveled to AZ to spend the winter. While driving through the dessert of New Mexico, I notice the traction control warning lite come on. Not finding the answer in the owners manual, I called Carlson Toyota and was immediately placed in touch with a mechanic. He was most helpful in the diagnosis and calmed my fears. It turned out that the check engine light triggered the traction control light all due to my failure to properly secure the gas cap. How many dealers would take a call and have their mechanic speak to you? I know one ! Thank you Carlson! More
