Looking for BMW Z3 01' or 02'. Bob said they had one but it was sold. Then said it was contingent on a test drive? Said he would call me back either way that afternoon. Said deal was 99% done but thought they might be getting another one in. This is basically a collectors car that I have cash for. I had bought one new in 01 but had to give up my "toy" until my kids were grown. Can now afford my toy. Bob called back with "great news" next morning. Deal fell through because dash cover was faded by sun? Z3's don't have a dash cover. It would cost $3500 to replace and dealership was not willing to pay for it. To make a long story with a lot of ???? short drove 45 miles to test drive a piece of junk! I know the car well and they personally destroyed any chance they had of selling it. They tore off a leather cover that someone had put on. Glue was all over the dash. The wood grain interior was coming off. The electric top, it's a roadster, didn't work and Bob didn't even know it was electric. He did know it didn't open. He is rude, unscrupulous, and doesn't have a clue about his product. Basically everyone's worst idea of a used car salesman. I'll just keep doing my due diligence. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Highly recommend people do a lot of research on people and dealers that sell new or used cars. Bought a lot of both and the stories I have you wouldn't want to hear. Thankfully only actually bought one lemon when I was very young. Color me older and wiser. More
