The car arrived at my local Carmax in a condition that the local dealer said did not meet their standards and I have not had a chance to even test drive it yet. the local dealer said did not meet their standards and I have not had a chance to even test drive it yet. More
I had to submit a request to ship the vehicle to a closer dealership 3 times before I got a phone call. I was told about 7 days and it’d be ready to test drive. I came into CarMax in Tulsa to discuss a specific car located in Texas. I was helped by Jaime Monroe and she was very knowledgeable and did not pressure me to buy anything. They are bringing the car I wa located in Texas. I was helped by Jaime Monroe and she was very knowledgeable and did not pressure me to buy anything. They are bringing the car I want to buy from Texas for FREE and based on the guarantees CarMax provides I feel so comfortable making the purchase. This is the easiest purchase of a vehicle I have ever had. Thank you Jaime, I’m very satisfied and at ease with my choice! More
Tell you one thing, sign another. Fair price but high interest. Anything goes wrong, diagnostic fees for everything separately before you even know if it's covered under your warranty, Fair price but high interest. What 125+ point inspection?? If you're desperate for a vehicle, this place is for you. It's a must to have the car inspected by a true experienced techinician from another dealer If you're desperate for a vehicle, this place is for you. It's a must to have the car inspected by a true experienced techinician from another dealership soon after the purchase from Carmax. I'm sure you'll be suprised by what they find. From spiders to bad rear brakes and rotors. The 125+ point inspection Carmax "states" they perform is false advertising. In March of 2014, I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord. Previous to that, I purchased a 2007 Ford Freestar for my wife. We had a great experience throughout the purchasing process. We even received a great appraisal for the cars we traded in! Silly me, I failed to have the Accord inspected by an experienced mechanic after the purchase. In August I had the oil changed in the car by another dealership (NOT CARMAX). The dealership made a thorough inspection and found out my rear breaks and rotors need to be replaced ASAP. That's going to cost me $300! I called Carmax a week after that to state my complaint, but had to leave a message for the floor manager. No call back. I called again a week after that and had to leave another message for a different floor manager. Mind you, I'm calling during regular business hours. I"ve left three messages for these guys with no return call! If Carmax put my car through a 125+ inspection after picking it up from an auction yard, wouldn't they have notated the rear brake's condition?? Carmax sells "auctioned" cars. It's a "sell as is" policy for this company apparently. Save up your money and go to a real dealership and purchase a new car or purchase from someone you can trust. More
