I had a great experience when I walked into the Burbank dealership. I had already reserved my car, but didn't have a salesperson. I found the car of my dreams at Carmax Burbank. Great car, good price. The reason I can't give them a 5 star recommendation. 1) Salesman told me that I could get a 2nd key to the car (they only Great car, good price. The reason I can't give them a 5 star recommendation. 1) Salesman told me that I could get a 2nd key to the car (they only had one key) at the dealerships cost of $250 to $350. So I bought the car came back one week later to order the 2nd key at Carmax cost and was told by the Carmax service team that the salesman misspoke and that I could not buy a 2nd key at Carmax's cost. In fact the key couldn't be ordered at all by Carmax. The 2nd key at the local brand dealership was $1200. Bad information and while the dealership did gave me $200 towards key I would asked for a lower price for car if I knew the 2nd key was going to cost me $1000 after the dealerships $200 contribution. 2) My trade is was worth $24K as "trade in" on Kelly blue book and true value, dealership low balled me and offered me $17K. They did not offer me true market value but bc I wanted the new car I took the deal. Integrity is really an important when dealing with a used car dealership. I accepted the deal but doesn't make it right. Low balling so you can increase profits and add more finance charges lacks integrity. 3) This dealership doesn't have knowledgeable service personnel at the service check in desk. The service check in person asked me if the car I bought which was in their system clearly stated electric was a hybrid? They sold me the car and have the info in the system but didn't know what type of engine was in the car? I will say that I appreciated the sales manager offering $200 towards the 2nd key. Overall customer experience and service needs to be improved and with focus on improving they could become a 5 star. As some who runs a large sales organization I know what a great customer experience looks and feels like and what is doesn't look and feel like. Based on my experience, I give them a 2 star. To anyone reading my review...make sure that anything the salesman states you confirm with the service dept manager and sales manager before signing any paperwork. Lesson learned for me with Carmax. Integrity drives loyalty. Lack of integrity = lack luster review and NO repeat business. More

They got me a Lyft home when the new tires did not come in on time and then got me back to the dealership even at a late time All service departments should be run this way More
