Salesperson Jacob was absolutely A+. Shipping time and communication was D-. Ordered a car from Nevada to Colorado and it took almost 2 full weeks to arrive, once it did, it sat for 4 da Shipping time and communication was D-. Ordered a car from Nevada to Colorado and it took almost 2 full weeks to arrive, once it did, it sat for 4 days before I finally called to schedule an appointment to see it, only for it to take an additional 4 days for the “title to come in”. I wouldn’t NOT buy another car from Carmax, but they wouldn’t be a top choice either. I would rate the overall process a C- at best. Carmax makes it incredibly hard to bring your own financing in to use for a purchase. I had a preapproval letter from my credit union but the management staff wouldn’t accept it or even call my credit union to utilize this financing. They forced me to use their 16.99% financing then do all the legwork on my own to then transfer my financing over. More

I was put in a situation that I got a total loss on my vehicle so had to start over again. So chose car max with my total loss check of 17k my test drive took forever my original rep wasn't there so Aiden vehicle so had to start over again. Days went by went back Aiden couldn't help me out cause he was on vacation it seemed like no manager really was concerned of helping out paperwork was situated i signed the papers. Once done was given the keys to my vehicle paperwork and that's it. Decided to get into my vehicle tv tablet in the back seat wasn't working back door of vehicle with kick stand was glitching this vehicle wasn't properly checked 100%. We had a few bumps in the road at the beginning but got things ironed out through Amanda, Customer Experience Specialist. Bottom line, we got what we were looking for and even though the car is five years things ironed out through Amanda, Customer Experience Specialist. I am physically located over 250 miles from the dealership (closest one) which makes it difficult/stressful to try to resolve these issues over the phone or via email between CarMax, a local Toyota dealership and other involved third parties. Vehicle price was too high considering the required repairs but I am hopeful CarMax will resolve the issue satisfactorily. More
