I ordered and bought a 2017 Ford C Max. When it arrived, the check engine light was on. At first service dept thought it was the battery. Then, it took 3 or 4 days to decide that it was When it arrived, the check engine light was on. At first service dept thought it was the battery. Then, it took 3 or 4 days to decide that it was the Air Conditioners. I was not able to take the car that I just paid for home with me. AND then !!!! the check engine light was determined to be on because there was a problem with the gas pedal.. and it would take a week to get the part and fix it. It was the Christmas 2025 holidays. I had Buyer Remorse over my original purchase. I ordered another Ford C Max. It was to come from the Houston area... 200 miles south of Austin. It was supposed to be delivered Jan 5, 2026. Today, Jan 7, I get an email saying that it is finally here, but in service dept being checked out !!! I am not very happy nor confident in CAR MAX More

I got a Nissan Sentra, they could of serviced the car way better before selling it to me at the high price they did. First, the wipers are installed too low and sit weird when in off position. Second, the transmission fluid I ended up changing myself because it was very dark and came out with a couple of metal pieces too. Third, they put new tires only in the back. For the price of the car they could of done all new tires. Fourth, engine air filter was somewhat dirty, not terribly bad, but at how cheap it is to change, they should of changed it. Inspect all fluids, filters, etc. and ask for proper service before buying a car, I feel they are cheapening out on details and it's not right for the price they charge. Overall nice car, and would buy again. More

I did a lot of research and decided on a CARMAX CAR. It had to be transferred fromHouston to Austin. But, the online update info was slow to post, incorrect, or just not there. I called numerous times but only got folks from call centers. They all gave me courteous, but different info. One did help me get express checkout set up. I finally got my local dealship’s direct number to get accurate info. When car was ready for test drive and purchase, the whole process from test drive to leaving in my new car was ONLY 30 MINUTES. That was GREAT! Suggestions, redo website and BETA check before going live. Also, give direct contact info to prospective customers. I would buy from Carmax again, but get in touch with local dealer immediately after reserving car online for actual timelines for transport and test drive. More
