I’m writing this to warn potential buyers about Car2Sell. I drove about 2 hours to purchase a vehicle that was represented at a cash price of $18,900, and I put $8,000 down. From the start, the payment te I drove about 2 hours to purchase a vehicle that was represented at a cash price of $18,900, and I put $8,000 down. From the start, the payment terms kept changing, and I was pressured to accept a payment of $596/month. What made it worse is that the paperwork did not match what was represented. The vehicle was represented at $18,900, but on the financing paperwork they listed the “cash price/value” at around $21,986. That’s a major discrepancy from what I traveled for and agreed to. After issues came up with financing/JD Power valuation, there was supposed to be a clean unwind. We had a signed refund/return agreement stating I would receive a full refund with no fees deducted, but they later refused to honor the agreement the way it was signed. They also refused to reimburse me for the work/parts I put into the car (including an alignment) even though they signed paperwork beforehand agreeing to reimburse/cover it (“WE OWE”). Then the communication got even worse. Nash threatened me with repossession even though the financing wasn’t finalized/funded (so there was no active financed deal in place). After that, Mohamed told me to bring the car in “today” but that they would refund me on Monday — three days later — and still wouldn’t provide anything in writing showing the refund was initiated or guaranteed. Once I asked again for something in writing and for him to honor the reimbursement agreement, he responded by saying he would initiate repossession and that it would be the last email I’d receive from him. At this point, I’m being forced to seek legal counsel just to return the car safely and get my money back. My advice: BRING A LAWYER CHECK THE BBB REVIEWS be extremely careful. Get everything in writing, verify the contract numbers match the advertised price, and don’t rely on verbal promises. More
