Purchased a New 2022 F-150 XLT Sport Feb. 6, 2023. Where to begin? Its Been 45 days and they still haven't got my title stuff taken care of with my state. I have a brand new truck I can 6, 2023. I have a brand new truck I can't drive on the road legally because I can't plate it and my temporary tag has expired. Have tried to speak with a manger more than once, but seem to keep getting disconnected with no call back. My DMV is not a short distance from my house and you need an appointment. Takes a minimum of a half day away from work and the expense of driving there. I have made to failed trips already and have to go back because this dealership didn't do the paperwork on their end correctly. My title has been held up and pending for 30+ days now. This deanship did not check to make sure what they have sent was correct. It was not. So, they have cost me a minimum of a days pay so far and I still can't drive my truck legally. The Bad: Salesman Alex, who is no longer with them, didn't know his product very well, but was a nice young man. Can tell he was a short timer. Maybe they have high turnover. Came from out of state after a final deal was made. 650+miles. Was on the phone with the salesman, a dealer manager, and my bank president before my trip to confirm the money was there and ask what I needed to bring before I left to pick up my truck. They said I could just bring a check. They knew I was out of state and coming for the truck and I called with my bank to make sure to bring what I needed to purchase. When I got there they told me, after saying they would take a check, they would not take an out of state check. Had to wait several hours to work out the bank transfer we could have done when I called. Wasted more than a half day on a tight schedule. Took them almost 2 days to find the truck they sold me after we agreed. Was on a different lot. Tried to get me to purchase another one, which I refused, before they "found it". They tried to charge me for locking lug nuts and a tailgate lock on the truck it didn't have. If I didn't notice they were not there, they would have charged me for them. I was told over the phone when I expressed I didn't want any of that, was told I have no choice. They were on the truck and I had to purchase. They did send me a check for difference after some back and forth. The Good: Fair Price Love the truck.. More
Bought my car here yesterday and the service was wonderful. The staff members were incredibly kind and accommodating which made the car-buying process go very smoothly. The salesman and the manager we worked with at this dealership(Used Sales) were extremely nice, and personable. They were willing to work with us to make the deal fair on both ends. I would avoid buying a car here out of state as they do not know how to collect the proper sales tax amount. We got got hit with a $2,668.43 sales tax bill from the state of Ohio because they only collecte not know how to collect the proper sales tax amount. We got got hit with a $2,668.43 sales tax bill from the state of Ohio because they only collected $569 worth of sales tax because they applied a tax credit for our trade that was not applicable to us because we bought a used car and Ohio only offers that credit on new car purchases. They also didn't collect on everything they were supposed to collect tax on and only collected at 5.75% when it should have been 7.8%. The bmv also did not get the title paperwork until the 30 day mark which left me with expired tags so I cant even drive the car now until I can save enough to pay this additional $2,600. If I had know this additional sales tax was coming I would have put less down or gone with a cheaper vehicle than one they talked me into or at least had a plan in place come up with the extra cash versus scrambling like I am now to come up with it. It feels like it was a bait and switch to get me into the car at a lower price than it really was. More
Bought a used 2014 f150 from them at first everything went great promise you the world. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! My boy and I bought new trucks 11/02/2010. Mine broke down on the way home. I get it back and 2 days later after I finally call to find out the scoop to get lied to. Eddie the manager tells me their #1 service guy was off on Wednesday to telling me Friday that they’re short staffed and have to bring in someone from another dealership. I asked for a different truck and they pretty much said Fu$&@ you we have your money and it’ll get fixed whenever we fix it! I’m going back with my lawyer! More
My Lincoln serviced at Ford Dealer I expected good service at the Ford dealer but was surprised by receiving excellent service at this dealership. During a routine service visit for an oil change it was discovered my transfer case on my AWD car was cracked and leaking oil. The car did have a slight drive line vibration but I didn't report that. The service department pointed out this potential failure point and ordered the parts to fix it under warranty. It took a few days to to get the car in and repaired. I was provided a new Ford Fusion to drive, what a nice car. The repair was completed and my drive line vibration went away. The people treated me and my wife very well. Five stars from me were totally justified. Still love the Lincoln but will not hesitate using Capitol City Ford to service it. More
