The customer service was poor and they struggled to stand behind a newly purchased vehicle through their partnership with Enterprise. Once we bought the car we immediately had major issues with it. When those issues were raised we were given limited options. My wife was almost sent home without any mode of transportation until I objected. We were then given a dirty Jeep not comparable to our brand new one. Following that we were left with the option to get a rental due to the delay on the parts. We were forced to go through Enterprise and they gave us a Hyundai Elantra that had cigarette burns in it and again was not comparable to the Jeep from a space and seating perspective, Enterprise and Capital were unable to remedy this and gave its the run around for a couple weeks until the Jeep was fixed. Capital also has never delivered our floor mats that were included in the purchase. They also were unaware of a recall that another Jeep dealer told us about and it was not fixed while they had our car for 2 weeks. More

I did not purchase my Jeep from Capitol ( although, I probably should have), but I had work done at their licensed service center. They were professional, flexible and worked in a timely manner. If a 10 is the best than these guys at Capitol are a 13! My adult daughter came to supervise an old lady (me) in buying a car. I was so anxious and a mess looking at cars for the week. Capitol had what I wanted at a decent price so it was just a matter of test driving and checking out the condition. I was pleasantly surprised as the car was immaculate. We were lucky enough to get “Kevin” as our salesperson. Young, a go getter but not at all pushy and really knew his stuff about the dealers’ cars. We immediately felt at ease and I knew right off the bat that I wanted that car. I was floored that within 2 hours I not only bought the car but was driving it home. Never expected that. General manager came over , introduced himself and too was very amiable. My intent was to finance through my own bank and NOT high dealer financing. Well…..again the staff came thru and presented a rate that matched my credit Union. They took care of transferring my insurance and hooking me up with shiny new license plates. (Only bad thing - I couldn’t pick out my plates with numbers I liked - had to go in order. 😫) oh well. After tons of papers being signed I was out the door driving my new toy home. Amazing 😃 Willimantic is not my choice if cities to visit, but definitely worth the trip if you’re in the market for a car and great service. Be sure to ask for Kevin - you deserve the best. 👍 More
