I will NEVER take my car there again. I have a 2020 impala. Air conditioning issue (evaporator line). Dropped car off at 7:30am on Monday. Warranty claim wasn't filed until Tuesday afternoon. Now, here it is, Friday, I'm still without my car and no updates. Service manager Carl Grier is screening calls. Now he's unavailable. It is ridiculous! Hate to see how long it'll take with a more serious issue! I'm willing to drive to another city or state before I take my car to that location again. Update: GM Jason called me personally trying to resolve my issue. He and Carl were very helpful and understanding, wanted to make things right. They won me over after all of the stress of a long week. It was a lot of miscommunication going on. I will rate the actual service once I receive my car. More
In my entire 60 years, I’ve never had a worse experience at a car dealership. I had my car towed in with only an electrical problem. 5 months later I had it towed out with a broken window, radiator, battery at a car dealership. The service department is the worst. My mom brought her car to be serviced. The service advisor Erica Jones has no customer service skills at all. She did not call my mother to tell her how long the car wo car to be serviced. The service advisor Erica Jones has no customer service skills at all. She did not call my mother to tell her how long the car would be there or what the actual issue is with the car. She is never in place to answer the phone nor calls back when messages are left. Her manager Luke is worse than she is. Instead of going in his office to discuss the issue, he would rather stand outside so all the no good lazy mechanics could hear the conversation. I now see why we were told to never do business with this service department. More
This dealership has the WORST service department I have ever been to. I purchased a Chevy Malibu from them in March of 2020. In February 2021 my check engine light came on with an air intake code and they ever been to. I purchased a Chevy Malibu from them in March of 2020. In February 2021 my check engine light came on with an air intake code and they told me the bolts just needed to be tightened. The light went off for about a week then came back on. This time they told me the filter needed to be changed to a GM filter (after I had just gotten it replaced) and have the throttle body cleaned, the light came right back on 2 months later with the same code. I went back for the third time and they said oh you need a fuel system cleanse that costed over $500 and a throttle body cleaning. The light came right back on 5 months later for the fourth time with the same code. This time they claimed the throttle body just needs to be cleaned FOR THE THIRD TIME. I asked for my money back for this fuel system cleanse bc it obviously did not permanently fix the problem. They refused to give me a refund and the service manager had the nerve to tell me that he should be charging me every time he cleans the throttle body on my care when it obviously is not working and not fixing a thing. Now the light is back on 3 weeks later for the FIFTH TIME with the SAME CODE. The techs are clearly not capable of finding and fixing the issue and the service manager is too proud to admit that they just don't know what to do. They would rather rip you off to save face instead of refunding a customer for work that was obviously not needed and not fixing the issue. More
I previously paid $1,866.26 for a heater core replacement. I had to take it back to Captiol Chevrolet to get it right because my A/C was still leaking. It was in the service dept for another 2 da replacement. I had to take it back to Captiol Chevrolet to get it right because my A/C was still leaking. It was in the service dept for another 2 days and I was told that the technician drove my car for miles and it was no longer leaking. I only had the car back a few days and now had to take it back again. It's amazing how I had to pay as much as I did for a heater core replacement, had that replaced, but it was still leaking. Then the technician sealed the firewall in some way and it is still leaking. Now, I'm definitely feeling like my car was misdiagnosed and to add insult to injury, I'm out almost $2,000 for absolutely nothing. The aggravation behind this is ridiculous. I need a reimbursement for this headache and inconvenience. I have never been more disgusted. I have been a customer at Capitol Chevrolet for almost 10 years and this is what $1,866.26 worth of work gets me on top of feeling like I have been robbed. This is upsetting! More

All I needed was for them to check to see where the antifreeze was going and the message on the dashboard stated turn engine off over heating. I asked if they can do a diagnostic check. The lady at the service desk said it would take about 2 weeks before they can check my car. I waited for 2 weeks. No return call so I called and the lady at the service department stated that the mechanic can’t find anything wrong with my car. So when was they gonna call me!!!! I tried to explain what was going on and the technician did not do a diagnostic test on my car.He Stated he just let the car ran to see if the message would appear so my husband called and the lady on the telephone was very nasty about the car. So she calls me and stated for my husband not to call back. So after that the manager Luke stated that I can let the car stay there but they can’t find anything wrong with my car. So I was advised to take the car and drive it and if the message appear bring the car back. So the day I went a picked up my car someone had bumped my car door and knocked off the paint. Luke said to bring the car back and they will repair it that following Monday. Well I returned with the car because the message reappeared on the dashboard and Cody stated that Luke will be off for a while. I was advised by Cody to take the car somewhere else because they will not be able to check my car for about 3 weeks because they was backed up with work. So I took my car to Riverside Chevrolet in Wetumpka and Lauren called back within a few hours and stated the diagnostic test shows intake leak. So the heads had to be reworked. So why Capital Chevrolet in montgomery couldn’t do a diagnostic test???? I will never go there again. Bad business and attitude problems. I just don’t understand why people can’t do their job!!!!
