I decided to take it to Capitol Chevrolet because I had taken it there while the car was under warranty and had always been pleased with the results. I called before I went to see if I needed an appointment. Rob Kimbrell answered my call. I explained the situation. Rob answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He told me to ask for him when I went. When I arrived, he met me, checked my car, asked questions about the car which enabled him to decide what type of service my car needed and told me about items that needed to have been done which I had not realized. He was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. On subsequent visits, he has continued to be very helpful. On my last visit, he was busy with another customer when I arrived. Instead of making me wait for my car and pay the bill, Brian and Danny helped me do that until Rob completed his helping the other customers who were active military. After Rob completed his helping the other customers, he talked with me and showed me that everything I had asked to be repaired was working well. I was pleased with the service and the friendliness of all the personnel and plan to return there for future car repairs. More

No follow up once car is sold This review is my attempt at an honest, non-inflated description of my experience buying a used car at Capitol Chevrolet. I live in Birmingham and ha This review is my attempt at an honest, non-inflated description of my experience buying a used car at Capitol Chevrolet. I live in Birmingham and had been looking for a specific model and year of a VW CC. I am purposely listing only the job titles, not names. I drove down from Bham to Montgomery on February 29th to look at the CC listed by the dealership. I liked the car and decided to buy it. The sales process was great, I liked my salesman, the haggling over price was concentrated on my trade-in and eventually we reached a mutually acceptable deal. Part of the negotiated written deal was the provision that some noticeable scratches outside and inside the rear passenger door (from someone trying to move something they probably should not have...definitely not normal wear and tear) be fixed. Since I lived in Birmingham, the used car sales manager suggested I have it repaired by their sister dealership, Tom Williams Lexus in Irondale, and they would direct bill Capitol for the paint patch up and fixing of two small punctures in leather seat. I called several days later (per the managers request) to have him schedule my appointment at Lexus dealership. He informed me that my appointment was at 10:00 am, March 9th and to ask for ______ who would take care of doing the touch up work. This is when things fell apart. I arrived at 10:00, asked to speak to Mr. ____ about my car, only to be given questioning looks by the service department. After several minutes, one of the techs said that they had no record of my coming in for the touch up work. I called Capitol Chevrolet from the Lexus dealership and was told that the used car manager had transferred to Cadillac dealership. I was given his personal cell number, called and left a detailed message of what had happened asked him to call me back. I waited almost a week, and no response. Called again and left another message, still no response after several days. Called Capitol and spoke to my salesman who said that the former manager was scheduled to stop by dealership later that day and he would speak to him. Again no response. I called the replacement used car sales manager and left him a message (a pattern is developing). No response. Called again a week later... still no response. In the end, last week I took my car to Watkins Auto Body and they did the touch up work for about $100. My overall problem with this situation that isn't sitting well with me is that there was ZERO follow up and concern after the sale, especially over such a nominal amount of money. Why a dealership would squander the goodwill created by doing this is hard for me to comprehend. Thanks for reading. More

Inaccurate website details and misinformation from salespers BEWARE! Had been looking for awhile for a specific color combination of vehicle. Found it on their website. Drove 4 hours ONE WAY to not even meet the person we spoke with. When somebody brought the car around front for us to see, it was the WRONG COLOR. Absolutely devestated and a complete WASTE of one whole Saturday. Possible Bade and Switch?? Will NEVER consider dealing with them in the future........ More

Drove an hour to learn the vehicle wasn't available. I called ahead to verify they still had an 08 Yukon from their website. I was told by a lady in sales named Jakeem Lewis the vehicle was still in stock and available for viewing. I informed her I was an hour away and scheduled an appointment to look at the vehicle. Upon arriving, I encountered a very helpful salesman named Demario Irving, who went out of his way to look for the Yukon to no avail. Finally, another salesman informed both Demario and I that the vehicle had been wrecked by another salesman several days ago and was in the body shop. This was very disappointing after driving an hour out of my way. Demario was more than helpful and apologetic but this could easilly have been avoided. More
